Guitar pedals and synth frequencies...

I've noticed with a couple of pedals I have tried that when enabled but set to fully dry, they still lop off some bit of the lower frequency range of my synths. This isn't really noticeable when using a guitar, but it really detracts from the sound coming from a synth. Is this a known thing with syn...

MIDI Solutions Quadra Thru-- now 8?

Found myself maximizing my Quadra Thru lately and wondering what my options are if I want to think about 8 out.

Yarns & MIDI clock, I'm an idiot

The BPM in Live is set to 75 and its light pulses at 75bpm and I output the MIDI clock in layout mode 1M via the 3rd gate out and it's... twice 75pm? Something else? It does not pulse at the same right. What basic 101 thing is escaping me here?

Clarett 4pre or similar interface

Is the Clarret 4pre any good, or is there a similar/better 4+ in Thunderbolt interface I should be considering? Not too concerned with mic pres.

Thanks.

dumb: headphone TRS adapter, only L audio?

Why is it that my headphones into a synth's 1/4" out using my TRS 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter only gets L channel audio, and I have to pull the adapter out halfway to get the stereo band?

Yarns n00b and the MIDI clock

Hey folks: I have my new(ish) Yarns in 1M mode, set to MIDI channel 3, and the input from Live (sync ON) is triggering the CV and gate quite fine: top two green lights are lit. My thinking is that in 1M, the 3rd gate out is supposed to carry the MDI clock but, well, it's not, and the second two gree...

Why would you not want the sequencer on the M32 running at all times, anyways? Couldn't you just shut the filter completely, or mute it on your mixer? I use the DAW to write the MIDI. I use the M32's KB/Gate outs to control another oscillator, so I don't want its sequencer running. Without the sequ...

(for the record, I just want to reliably get a gate/trigger for the MIDI clock out of my DAW without the M32 onboard sequencer running!) ... but I also have an 0-Coast, so I can use that as well.

ahh, guys, sorry about my poor communication: so, yes, it seems like I can get the MIDI clock out via the 0-Coast using the tempo jack (when MIDI sync is on).

It seems like I can NOT get the MIDI clock through the M32 UNLESS the M32 sequencer is running: is that correct?

MIDI clock & Mother-32, 0-Coast, Yarns....

Help me figure this all out? I want MIDI->CV with clock. I have a M32 and 0-coast and my issues are that neither really passes the clock through. Both M32 and 0C will pass the gate through, but that doesn't work as a trigger unless there's a MIDI note, or in the case of the M32, if the internal sequ...

probably basic: MATHS ADR vs ASR

Hey guys: when I plug my gate into the Trigger In on the MATHS, I effectively get an ADR envelope between the ride and fall. When I plug the gate into the signal in (the little arrow), I get an ASR, where holding down the key sustains the note. Why is this happening? What basic thing I should alread...

KEYSTEP PRO & hold note?

Is there any way to make this bad boy just hold a note/chord forever? The closest I can get is a 90% gate with a one-note sequence but NO, I demand perfection, and I think I'm out of luck. My next gig I've got tape and heavy things lined up. Just wanted to check.

as regards the iso acoustics, any preferences between the puck and the stands? Puck looks quite nice, space wise.

monitor/speaker stands on a desk?

Hi guys: my monitors (Yamaha HS50Ms) sit on a desk where sometimes lower frequencies cause a rattle (it's a glass desk, I might have a wood desk soon but regardless). Are there nice, hopefully small (smaller than the base of the monitor?) stands that could help alleviate this?

Sorry, probably being unclear. Stick 3 voices into 3 channels of the Veils. Use the 3rd output to hear the blended voice. Stick a gate into the third channel's gain CV input. Open/close that gate (via keyboard's gate out or whatever): that gate only opens and closes the third channel, the first two ...

Oh yeah, that is what I am doing exactly, my question is around gating each channel: I don't think I can do that with one gate source, I need to gate each channel, even though I am only using the 4th for the daisy-chained output.

That make sense?

n00b with his first dedicated oscillator wonders about VCA

Just got the Pittsburgh Lifeforms Primary Oscillator, which sounds like a gnarly little beast, and I am enjoying blending variations of the 5 voices with my Veils VCA and I am wondering: can I gate the blended voice with one gate somehow? I have Keystep Pro, and the Gate out can go to one of the cha...

Octocontroller & Pam's New Workout vs LFOs

I am having trouble figuring out why modules like Octocontroller & Pamela's New Workout are not simply multiple LFOs? What is the difference between one of these and the Batumi quad LFO I have in my system?
