I just ran through the calibration procedures. Everything tuned up nicely.

Pro tip use Ornament and Crime to calibrate the Volt Octave adjustment. Set it to reference mode. Connect A out to V/oct and the sine out to TR 4.

I just started the Thonk DannySound en129 kit tonight. I got the main board mostly finished.

The instructions are very clear makes it mostly paint by numbers. The whole kit is through hole.

I’m planning a case. It seems there are few ways to attach rails. 1) use an end bracket. A flat piece of aluminum with a few holes. The rails are bolted to the bracket and the bracket is held to the inner wall of the case with screws. 2) no end bracket. The rails are secured by bolts through the sid...

for me sequins works just fine as my primary sequencer. however i havent found a way to transpose the sequence in semitones. is there a way to achieve this? preferrably within scale (ie before the built in quantizer). Seems precision adder would be the tool. But! I wonder if you could take the sign...

I built a bunch of the Blacet modules in the early 2000s. Great stuff super fun to play. I almost went with Doepfer but it was more expensive and hard to get in the US. It didn’t seem as fun as the Blacet stuff at the time. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/39543_b4169634ae9b48858a83132b684...

I had this same thought today, this forum is reading my mind! I was looking for a filter. Filter 8 was on the list. Then I went down the rabbit hole of Doepfer filters, of which there are many. I also really liked this demo I heard of a fixed filter bank. In my head I’m hearing long slow filter swee...

I'm growing to love the IntSq CV sources in the Quantermain app, you can find some really sweet spots, and get some lovely counterpoint (for want of a better word) going. Such a great app in a great module. This track uses all 4 channels, driving 2 x Rings, Braids and uBraids, I'm pretty pleased by...

Great patch idea. How many channels are you using in the Bitbox?

That’s a really great piece. The sounds are very nice and have a unique vibe. The transition through and introduction of the various voices makes a nice journey.

I almost exclusively use Quantermain, and mainly use the internal CV sources, in particular the integers. External cv, if used, will be to vary the parameters rather than be the CV source to be quantised. I'm actually really surprised that there doesnt seem to be many other people using the integer...

My metropolis seems wonky. The slide LEDs will sometimes turn on by themselves, and pressing the button won’t turn them off. I can press on button and the light above another will go on. It’s really frustrating. Otherwise things work normally.

Anyone else had any problems with the slide/skip buttons?

I have a few ring modulators. I don’t use them but I have this urge t collect them. One day I’ll find a use. I’ll second the Ring Thing. This has to be the most versatile and practical ring mod. It does everything from your classic ring mod sounds to tremolo and vibe like sounds.where most Ring mods...

My DIY Braids doesn't work with my Pulp Logic Case?

I have a small Pulp Logic case and a DIY Braids. The Braids works in my Pittsburgh case but it doesn't light up in the smaller case? I have few other modules in the small case that work fine.

I wanted to get a Wogglebug for a while but haven’t found one. Then it occurred to me that O & C would make a great random voltage generator. With the four outputs you could have: - random stepped voltage - random slewed voltage - clocked trigger - trigger burst Inputs CV might be - CV used like a s...

I’ll add that the 2.5mm knurlies are a little smaller, stainless steel, and have tighter knurling pattern. They are a little harder on you fingers than the 3mm black knurlies.

Ok, I was thinking of pulling the trigger on a couple of EP-270 cases from Pittsburg Modular. Will Knurlies work in those cases? I have Pittsburgh case. It uses standard (4-40 I think) not metric. I replaced the sliding nuts with threaded inserts. These were 2.5m. I got some v2.5m knurlies. They wo...

I like the idea of Metropolis and Atlantis combo. It makes a really cool voice that would be simple to play and patch. On the flip side it seems like it would be a sort of one trick pony. It’s like buying an 80s FM synth and swapping the keyboard for a sequencer. I really like the idea but I feel yo...

I’m working on a small system and have been considering some 2hp modules. I worry they may be too flexible since the panel is so narrow.
