at least they're safe from the curse of the mind! (for now) I almost lost a 310a New Controller to that wretched thing. My original plan was to have a the double rowed system that I have and next to it a third row of 300 that basically doubled anything that I didn't have two of, two rows of 1200 an...

I don't have a ups, that is a good suggestion. I am enclined to think its the dirty wiring in this apartment because it was fine in so many studios and other apartments.

Korg DDD1 ground hum

It's my favorite drum machine (shut up!) and I keep pulling it out of storage thinking I can figure out the noise problem so far nothing. Here's the deal... it was fine in my last few places. The DDD1 is known to be susceptible to noise when you are in a location with crappy wiring. The unit is not ...

Just an update.

I had decided I just didn't want to sell and then as luck would have it while moving my storage space the box went into the abyss. It may be years before I see those modules, but hell I'll be glad when I do.

If I were to lean into doing something with the LZX directly interacting with lasers, I would probably want to do it where I was outputting to rgb color beams so I was still functioning in the same manner. Bare in mind my experience with using lasers has been to ones that were packaged club products...

I tend to like the 1200 Borg for bubbling percussion, just it and the noise ring. The 300 is a much more vercitile module because of its feature set but I kind of like the 1 more from a sonic standpoint.

Interfacing instruments

I apologize if this has come up, it's even possible I myself asked.

Can one interconnect Peter's instruments? I have a Sidrazzi, an early Cocoquantus and the Din Datin Dudero Mark 2 that is on the site. Only the last of these is battery powered.

Any definitive rules on this subject.

Thanks,
Tommy

When I started out with Max it was to build complex random music generators that controlled MIDI synths. Once MSP came along and processing power increased I switched to real time effect processing using various random switching elements. I go through long periods where I stop using it but I always ...

@ Revmutt, in a way I find modular to be quite minimal. For me it imposes more restrictions than software. Although I seem to spend more time than is healthy thinking about what to add or subtract... often I find I get the most useful results from staying within a fixed system but that doesn't seem...

Since the chances of my getting any offer that would make me budge, I'm cool with the idea of at some point expanding. Since the instrument is so open ended I could easily see not actually adding a third row for a few years but buying the modules as I can. I also thought about having the wogglebug m...

If you've already got 2 rows (I'm assuming 12 modules) then I guess it's a matter of how many times you think "I need another envelator"? I doubled up on certain modules and didn't on others in my system so the 12 I have works for me and I don't really think beyond that because let's face it 12 300...

Retitled: we don't need no stinking fence.

Every time I think that I'm going to sell or trade my extra 300 modules I start to get cold feet. Coming in here doesn't help either. I put my stuff up in the buy and sell thinking that either a really cool trade or local cash might do it but when you refuse to break up the set or want a local deal ...

That module is a vc reverb that was done by the custom engineering dept. in the end days of the original company. It gathers dust like anything in a city. I use the instrument. I am not in a financial position to collect shit to impress who ever the fuck would be impressed with a giant box of knobs....

I know that when the next batch comes I'm going to be into case two. So I would imagine that there are a number of people who are in that position.

The advantage to doing a panel/module bus connector is it makes how one arranges things in multiple cases a little easier.

Option 2.

I'd be inclined to say some sort on panel bus module simply because once you get into multiple cases/racks you are going to want something that you can disconnect easily if you are moving your rig.
