Thanks for the clarifications on flat vs roundwound.
I'll maybe pick up some flats to try on one of my fretted basses to see what I think. Need to save up for the fretless one.

Sorry, just realised there were a load more posts in the thread since last time I looked. Thanks for all the further suggestions. It's definitely going to be a experiment/try it out type purchase so I wont' be springing for a G&L or anything else that sort of price at this moment! I've never used fl...

I really like the hex screws that come with erica modules. In fact, I think I'm going to get them for my entire system.. I didn't start by getting them with an Erica synth but that's exactly what I ended up doing for my system. Make sure you have a couple of suitable allen keys as they're a lot eas...

That should work. I don't have the modules to try it out at the moment to check. Although if there was any variance at all in phase between the two signals it wouldn't. You'd perhaps need to attenuate the lfo signal first before it hits the mixer depending on the maximum or minimum peaks you wanted....

I'm guessing that they have been using up old faceplate stock they got from B&A when they took over and then replacing them with new BEMI ones when they've run out.

Can someone PM me Robin's contact info to get on the list? It seems to be the best kept secret in the biz. I've gone to the defunct (what seems to be) website and emailed them with no reply. I'm willing to wait whatever amount of time to get a Synthi A(KS). Me too please! I want to get on the vcs3 ...

By different depths do you mean a different CV range? If so, yes it's not unusual for different manufacturer's modules to send out a different CV ranges. Especially, although not exclusively, in Eurorack there really isn't any standardisation. You can of course control the depth of CV going to anoth...

The only difference for me between patching my 5U and Euro is that I have stackcables in Euro so don't need to use mults.
It's not something I consciously think about when patching though and, while it may affect "flow" to some degree or another, I don't feel any noticeable difference.

Unless you have a very specific and good reason for updating your OS, I wouldn't do it. Not with something as relatively new as Sierra anyway.

Eric the Red In the sense that's it a sort of off white, yes. But, as with most things, it looks a bit different in real life. JohnLRice Thanks. I think that might be the route I have to go. It doesn't have to be a perfect match - something reasonably close would do. I would also have my doubts ove...

Modcan B panel colour

Does anyone happen to know the colour of Modcan B panels?
Pantone or RGB would do.
I want to paint a case I made that colour but obviously contacting Bruce at the moment to ask the details isn't really an option.
Thanks :)

I've only watched part 02 so far. It is great, especially around the 1m50s mark.

I love the 259e. So versatile. My favourite things are the top 3 mem skew banks - they make the 200e preset feature really earn its money as trying to manually replicate results is pretty tough there I find!

I love the CV side of Wogglebugs. Audio - I was never that big a fan. Yea, the audio outs are interesting for about a week. Although they are what originally drew me into getting one. If I was into DIY I'd make a quad Wogglebug with just the CV side of them in a Wiard 300 panel. I've only used the ...

I use an ES3 and ES6 with Max MSP. It's very straightforward - just send a signal out/in via a dac or adc object. Of course if you don't have Max MSP and want to keep your cash for more modules, there's Pure Data which is free and would work equally well. Thanks, I'm leaning towards just paying for...

I had two dual Wiard 300 series ones at one point.
(and a Makenoise Wiard one in Euro)

Cross-modulating 4 of them and tapping the CV at various points using stackcables never failed to produce something interesting.

I've never used Audacity. But, having had a quick look, multichannel recording is supported although in my opinion looks a bit of an afterthought.
