yeah that's the ep-360. it's got a lovely finish and the modules are flush with the case (which I like -- not a fan of the cases with recessed rails). it definitely needs a slanted stand and the lid adds a lot more size than you'd think, but overall great case. i got mine on sale for like $700 :nana:

so i've been out of work this week which sucks but it does mean i've had more time to work on music. i put together a little techno (?) jam this morning with all my synths talking to each other. sub 37 on bass, odyssey arping, hertz donut mk2 osc 1 arping and percussing, hd mk2 osc 2 and 0-coast har...

not entirely related but this did bring a quote to mind: “In the beginner’s mind there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s there are few” - Shunryu Suzuki buying something without any idea how to use it could be more productive than "knowing" exactly what you're going to use this synth or mo...

mutable music things ears update! my final first round module came in and i've been loving it so i decided to set up my cam and get some good footage and audio. you're hearing drones from the hertz donut mk. 2 and the 0-coast with the tangle quartet receiving modulation from a self-patched batumi in...

after re-purchasing an op-1, i'm starting to question it again recently. when i play it by itself i can get into it but then i hook it up alongside my Odyssey and Sub 37 and have a hard time enjoying its sounds. :despair: the pads just don't cut though a mix like i want them to. good for sampling an...

There is only one solution as far as I'm concerned, it was announced a few months back, the Alyseum Core. They announced it in Tokyo Modular festival (link is in French), 15 + 1 fully programmable outputs, clockable, CV controllable. You can control your whole modular with this one. It is designed ...

hey muffs! so i finally took the plunge into eurorack with a structure case and three dope modules and i'm usually not into the whole sharing unfinished music piecemeal style but i'm really excited and enjoyed the 2016 eurorack diary post and y'know i wanna participate in the community and get some ...

Perhaps, but I imagine this is probably due to economic concerns... which must favor flexibility over the idiosyncratic. Maybe to a detriment. yeah, for me its a combo of size + €. If neither were of concern, my system would be weird as shit. I'd probably make exploring new interfacing devices a to...

I have one and love it! But I'm curious as to the overlap between its sounds and those of a STO or DPO. Are they similar enough to warrant not buying a STO or DPO? (mainly asking about the STO because I already have a Hertz Donut on the way)

Well damn that's no fun. I was thinking of somehow using it to create sequences that could phase in and out of each other a la piano phase by changing the delay time. Basically using it as a clock divider that stays at values around .9-1.1. Idk. This is all just me mentally trying to understand how ...

Advise me on my first setup!

Alright so I finally pulled the trigger. I bought an 0-coast a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love with patching and the large palette of sounds obtainable through such a small device. So I just bought a Structure EP-360 and Xaoc Batumi and they are on the way, but I need YOU to help me with t...

I don't even have a single module to my name so this is all speaking from religiously watching every video make noise has put out, but you can create bongo sounds from the moddemix/optomix easily using the strike input. You can create some drum-like sounds with some dpo fm I think. If you have an er...

I think this is the one. Gonna pull the trigger on an ep-360 to start my modular as soon as I return from abroad. Looks really luxurious in those photos and I love that the modules are basically flush with the case edges.

So long, savings.
