I already own maths, but i want/need more. It's not just the envelopes, i really want to be able to control audio rate modulation with eg's, so the vca's are very welcome. I reread my first post and it suggests only for envelopes, sorry about that. But Tides is also on my wishlist, so hmm. Maybe ju...

It does look to me like Mini-Slew needs more than 5V to retrigger mid-fall. Yarns' gates will retrigger it if they're amplified (I used a PulpLogic E-Tret tile) but not otherwise. Possibly an easy mod to Mini-Slew, or hopefully addressable in future Yarns firmware?

Rings Easter Egg demo....been holding onto this one for a while. Basically just running as a drone (i.e. no frequency CV input) while modulating the chord structure. Enjoy! I've found the same behavior the OP describes when triggering Mini-Slew with Yarns. Maybe it needs a hotter gate than 5V to reset the envelope in the middle of the fall stage? Anyway, in my opinion, it's hardly a deal-breaker because with its VC over shape and bipolar amplitude I feel that using Min...

One modest suggestion for the newly freed-up firmware space -- it would be wonderful (at least to me) if we could get the scales in Yarns up to parity with the set of scales Braids got in 1.8rc2.

I'm getting an "error: no device detected" message when attempting to install the new firmware (at the step when it tells you to plug the Batumi into your computer). Does anyone know why this would occur? I'm on OS X 10.9.5. I also tried on a windows 8.1 machine and got the same thing. Faulty cable...

I've already put myself through the hazing ritual that is learning a couple of Elektron interfaces well enough to draw on their flexibility without consulting a manual, so I use two of those boxes for most "control" purposes. Aside from that, I have two FSR tiles that I use for touch control on the ...

I guess a frequency to pitch CV tracker like the one in Disting could do the trick here, though I'd probably have to put the clock through a clock multiplier first, as that function is meant to work with audio-rate signals. Just wondering if there's a simpler way out there! (Which would appear to be...

Anyone have an idea for producing a static voltage whose level is proportionate to the rate of periodic signal like a clock? I'd love to be able to use the autoplay mode and have the playback speed synced to a clock.

Applying a signal to the FADE input (or SURVEY) will give an inverted copy of that signal at RIGHT output. This will only work if there's no input at LEFT or RIGHT inputs. If you use the SURVEY input to do this, you'll be able to add a voltage offset with the knob. Alternatively, if you apply a dum...

What's the scoop on inverting signals with Cold Mac? I've heard it mentioned around here before that you can invert, and Whimsical's docs suggest that Left and Right outputs might be able to offer inverted copies of the Right and Left inputs, but these additional docs indicate otherwise.

1U tile-converting panels

I really appreciate having a 1U row in my case. I have always felt their is a definite Mutable Instruments sound that seems to exist in many of their modules. I understand where this sentiment about Clouds is coming from, but I think it's only warranted to target the sentiment at the wigglers wiggling it the same way -- ham-fisted levels of modulation, texture on full-smear, reverb cranked. The module doesn't actually have a "signature sound" that you can...

I'll echo Epignosis's comments about the Mini-Slew, but I personally chose to keep 1 Mini-Slew and 1 Function, as I just prefer the response of the rise, fall, and log/lin/exp shape controls on the Function. I find it just perfect for envelopes, but this is a very personal thing. The Mini-Slew absol...

No, the Optomix will pass negative voltages, it would be totally useless for audio otherwise! The differences lie in how the modules respond to signals going into the control inputs. Bipolar VCAs (or balanced modulators, ring modulators) will invert the input signal if you send a negative signal in...

From what I can tell, yes :-) The Optomix will do a fine job processing CV. If you want something tiny, the LxD fills a similar role. One consideration is that these are unipolar VCAs -- bipolar VCAs will give you a little more flexibility in CV processing. Thanks Footkerchief ! Can you say a bit m...
