I picked up an 8" version and was impressed with quality. There was even a zippered net pouch for cables, etc. Still pretty wide with the covers on. Wish someone would make a 6" version and reduce the cover size. But if need protection for your modules, this would fill the bill. Under $100, free shi...

The first proto, I had the boards completely mounted. This proved challenging for the ribbon cables. The next one, I installed the pcbs with the pots shafts going into the front panel but not attached. This leaves considerable wiggle room and was a lot easier. On the third build, I payed a bit more ...

Blacet also has a big cable kit with a crimper. Makes it easy and you can make the exact lengths you need.

Very unlikely that this will return in any form.

The Dual Linear VCA is not very exciting but gets the job done.

In this model, only the first two boards have rigid pins. Pretty easy to work on. Been working on proto already!

This just in: order window open. See Blacet website.

Wait---there's more

On the Global CV input, if nothing is plugged in, then the inverted envelope is normalled. The negative side of this is great for bending the A,D,R segments.

Pricing and delivery are unknown.

I'm curious too...
Half Power Point of the descending envelope. If the sustain is about 50%, then this is pretty much EOD. Otherwise, the response occurs at 50% of the envelope level.

Whats with the tmebase settings ? I’m thinking x2 would be more useful than x5 and x50 is a bit much. What am I missing ? I know the 2070 can go for hours but does anyone actually use those settings ? The 50:1 range is quite compressed compared to the 2070's 6000:1! But this will be generally usefu...

I agree.

Notced that EOD is also start of sustain. Really just a naming convention.

Blacet should probably re-do the Mixer Processor in 1.5" module...although the SBM has two inverters: one on mixer, one on splitter. Also there is one on the Filthy Filtre.

Do you have the 1V/0ct inputs on the vco and filter both connected to the keyboard/sequencer? This is so the filter sound tracks as you play different notes. Don't use it much myself but it's a good way to get consistency.

Of course, you will need a multi or splitter.

Just a thought...

On the Blacet EG1, there is an internal trimmer to set the maximum envelope. Thus, you could set this at 5V. Or use the Level Pot on the EG.

The DAD also has a Level pot along with a full 10V out.

VC Timebase is Out

VC timebase replaced by 3 position switch. Originally designed to eliminate a rotary switch but some parts now very expensive (Max364 $5). Used to buy these by the 1000s for a $1ea. How long before DIP stuff is priced out?
