I like the Dalek myself. Yes, it includes a couple of oscillators, but they're really quite useful for modulation. It just sounds nice too. That will be the only RM in my new system when I get to that point. I had one in a previous system, and used it constantly.

Not exact Roland sound, but you can get some of that creaminess from the SSM clone filters around. The resonance behavior is a little different though. (I'm comparing to J106 here, as I haven't owned other vintage Roland.) I'm sure there's something a little closer out there though.

Re: More information on this module

So...in the usual sequencer mode, would this be "constant rate" portamento for the selected steps? I think that's the term. The glide is guaranteed to reach the next note, no matter how quickly or slowly the sequence is scrubbed. That should be cool at audio rates. If you mean 303ish behavior, I th...

I just tried this and the results weren't worth recording. As others have said it's really not slow enough for an LFO. Believe it or not, there is an "Uncle" oscillator design which is a dedicated LFO modulation source. It is a sawtooth core design with the usual unusual set of features. We will ma...

These modules are just are just so damn interesting. I see now why people hold on to those big blue 300 series like there life depends on it. I can not believe the functions that are available on this thing. I've always wanted one of those big blue 300 series, so I could hold onto it like my life d...

 Three more modules would really round this thing out for a little while. Another Borg, another AO (or a Hertz Donut, or Morphing Terrarium I suppose,) and a Noisering. Maths is really going a long way for CVs, but I've always loved how the Noisering works. It's tough without a modulating o...

These are a little less AO-centric, but it's the same set of four modules, half of which are Wiard/Malekko, so I thought I'd just keep sticking them here: http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/WeeModular3.mp3 http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/WeeModular4.mp3 http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/WeeMo...

I always thought a MiniCase with a Cwejman VM-1 and Doepfer a-190-2 would be cool. Simple, but cool... http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/DoepCwej.jpg yeah, this would be cool for a minicase.... so the alternate strategy I'm gathering is to think multifunction modules, rather than dedicated module...

I would have to do a lot of research into it.
Sell them just in the US, and leave it to the grey-market to move them around. :)

Nice, The Evin 209 (if not using the stilton adaptor) doesn't seem like good value compared to the identical Doepfer A-138m though maybe? True. I do like the matching aesthetic though, so I may have to go with a larger enclosure, or add the Evin/Stilton to the Sequence/Input box... or something... ...

I would want something for CV bipolar mixing. I have a Plan B M14 and Harvestman Evin that are used all the time in West Coast patchs. I'm building the same basic thing. Heavily "West"ish... I'm only 4 modules in though. I've got AO, Borg, Maths, and a Malgorithm. My next planned items are 2 Noiserings, a Morphing Terrarium, another Borg or Boogie. I really want that TipTop Sequencer...
