It seems like all the people that want a product to do absolutely everything under the sun and then some, should start looking at computers. c´mon, no! this are very basic stuff things that you easily find in other pieces of gear, nothing esoteric and it´s not about what the customer can do with th...

like what? I´m not asking for timestretching, live looping or even direct long audio streaming from a storage media Stereo sampling? Achieved by samplers 15-20 years older and in a machine in this price range should be a BASIC feature...8 tracks, man...not 128...no excuses Proper storage backup? Ag...

Let’s look at it from a different angle. Aside from the Monomachine, what other box of similar size to ANY Elektron box can do EVERYTHING that they can do, as well as they can do it, all in the same smallish footprint? .... ... .. . The Spectralis maybe? But... How deep do you want to dig to get res...

IDK man I wanna bitch about elektron - seems like the cool thing to do around these parts LOL It's what the kids are doing these days! I guess I'm old-school. The article with the jitter/latency metrics is reporting in miliseconds. The two or three miliseconds for the MD should be basically unnoticeable. 2 or 3 out of a thousand is insanely fast. Like article was a fun read but its one of those “information only but practically useless” kind of things. P...

but that's exactly what they did. clearly. they withhold certian features from certain boxes so you'll be motivated to buy all of them. seems like that strategy isn't working out so well for them anymore. This is an assertion that's often made in this forum, with no evidence to back it up. "MIDI Se...

I'm extremely happy with the new features. They aren't even features that I will use heavily, but it's nice that they are there, and it's nice to see Elektron updating older machines. It's also cool because I just grabbed a Rytm and A4 after not having them for a very long time. Dude, I bet you wil...

Monomachine and Machinedrum, released like a decade before send midi out Octatrack, send midi out not to mention units that was developed like 35 years before BUT: Analog 4/K/rytm send very selected midi out messages...knobs, clock, transport are ok, even notes from the keyboard! but midi notes fro...

Well, the good thing about flashable firmware is that they can further add or refine these features if there are enough onboard resources to do it. Maybe we'll see more MIDI features down the road. Then again maybe not. This is purely my own opinion, but I think people just want these to do absolute...

If I were making a drum machine I wouldn't use MIDI internally for the simple fact that MIDI is serial. MIDI events can never happen at the same time. Drum hits most certainly do. I'm not sure what you think it means to "use MIDI internally", but it does hint that maybe you don't understand what MI...

They've always been very clear about what their machines do and do not do. Except they've been saying that OB works and "we've fixed OB", years ago....even on Sonicstate. They've been using it as a selling point and I've been around the boards and you know, a lot of people wanted to use the softwar...

They've always been very clear about what their machines do and do not do. Their menus are laid out in a way that makes it clear what you're sending or receiving over the MIDI ports as well. Sync, Transport, etc. Some things were advertised with MIDI ability, some weren't. I don't see it as cripplin...

Simply limiting the current to them will dim them. However, it depends on what you're using to drive/control them. If PWM is used, then yes, as mentioned above, it will get a bit strobe-ish. There was a brand that Grant Richter used in his Frac 1200 series modules that had a really nice darker blue ...

It was this thread: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=191492 About 4-5 pages in. The file that I posted is the actual DSN file for the circuit. I can try and output it again when I get a chance, or as Neil did, you could load it into the free trial version of Labcenter Proteus. I may...
