Yeah I've wanted the O'Tool for a long time, just don't have the space. Maybe if I get a bigger apartment.

Just added the Intellijel 4u case, and immediately filled it with modules from the closet. I want to use this case either with the rack or separately so I'm going to reconfigure (& possibly add modules). Planning to add a Verbos Mini Horse in its own case as well. Beyond that, no more cases! https:/...

Intellijel Zeroscope question

Just got an intellijel case and I'm looking forward to picking up a Zeroscope.

Is there any way to do a firmware update / chance of an update in the future? It would be really handy if this had a numerical volt meter mode, which I don't think it does if I'm reading right.

Good idea. I mult the pitch input to the FM source but I haven't tried this. Piston Honda might work nicely for this.

Question to VHO users. Have you found any good tricks for changing the timbre of the harmonic outputs? I find they are quite sensitive to FM and lose the fundamental pretty quickly. I've had better luck with AM applied to the mix section, and gain and filters after the output. I'd like to take it a ...

Great clip! One unexpected thing about the Bark is the extent to which you can shape quasi-acoustic sounds from a variety of sources. In this clip it sounds almost like steel drums. I've been able to get guitar, xylophone, violin etc in addition to steely and glassy sounds. It takes a lot of experim...

Top ten most wanted in 2019

If money and space were no object, what are the top ten modules you would want to add to your system? My most wanted: Hertz Donut 3 Rainmaker Sisters Rubicon 2 Verbos Multi Delay Would be nice: Verbos random 4ms Stereo Triggered Sampler Erbe-verb Qpas? Magneto? A second Planar2? ??? (I'm asking this...

Dual Four Pole has a unique sound but it's going to be pretty noisy under many circumstances for a lot of modular users. It's out of my case right now. If you have to choose, the ATC is more useful (although I wish there were a way to get some of the D4P tone out of the ATC). If you do get one, it r...

Got it. I hadn't really thought of the Maths in those ways or as having that much overlap with the CVP. Maybe I should take another look at Maths. As far as I can tell, the functions that CVP has Maths doesn't are bounce and the crossfade/VCA ability (although if I remember correctly, there is a wa...

the bounce feature is cool, but overall design of the CV processor is kind of disappointing. It should have two of the upper section and one of the lower, or one of each in less hp. I understand it's following the buchla design but more innovation would have been nice here. I don't see any reason to...

Nice clip! I absolutely use it with samples. In particular, pre-mix a few samples or sound sources that are at different points on the frequency spectrum so that they overlap but you can treat them separately. Yes the envelope delays are pre-fader. Same also is true with Harmonic Oscillator outs. An...

I'm really tempted to get this. Seems incredible for sound design as well as modulation. I recently got the Verbos Delay and I love it very much, it has really rekindled my interest for the bark. Hefty price tag and hp though. Yeah I had to pull a few beloved modules out of the case to make room. S...

I've had it for a few weeks and I love this thing so much. The sound of the individual bands is fantastic and it works really well (better than I expected) when you "play" the bands separately. You can do this with sounds that don't even seem that harmonically rich and get interesting results. One t...

Definitely. Set a splice length and adjust the SOS knob to control the amount of feedback and go from there.

Bark should be coming in the mail today. I love the VHO too much to not own this. I hadn't heard of the Fumana. It seems really interesting but that's a lot of panel space and expense for things I would usually prefer to do with software (although being able to use CV is always appealing). I'm curio...

I bought Tempi to compliment Rene 2 and have been struggling with it. At first I thought it was broken. I use 4MS QCD & Expander all the time, which is much larger and you can see everything, but even the 8hp Triggerman has a better interface in my opinion. Hard to tell for instance if it's at 5x or...

Excited for this update but it will all depend on the update process. If it's Pickit, I don't think I'll do it. I ordered a Pickit and tried to update a previous module and couldn't get it to work at all. No idea if the Pickit works because I have no other use for it, and I'm not going to buy anothe...

Everyone has their own design philosophy; I'm certainly not suggesting that more CV ins is automatically better module design. My main point is that a in a large and fairly expensive effect (given all the other delay modules available), having just one CV option is a bold choice, especially in the c...

I never had access to music education as a kid beyond an SK-8 that I banged on for years. Around 1999 I bought a DAW and USB keyboard and recorded a number of songs like that. After a few years I got really bored and frustrated and quit doing music altogether. By far the most interesting thing I fou...

Now that I fully understand the design, I have to say I'm disappointed. The narrow clock range and lack of clock input is one thing (and it seems that has to do with the original Buchla design). I understand this is not meant to replicate "vanilla" delay or reverb. But the total lack of modulation i...

As I understand it, the pitch shift and reverb inputs are for audio (interrupting the normal from tap 8) and not for CV, is that correct? If so, does patching audio there send it through just that effect and then into the feedback loop? So for instance you could take the output from tap 2 and 5 (or ...

But the curated chaos of the experience makes it worthwhile.

I absolutely love the sounds coming out of it in every demo and track I've heard so far. And the followers. That said, I'm puzzled by the lack of a clock input / tap tempo. There's a tension that hasn't been fully resolved yet between the very analog Verbos design ethos and the feature sets / option...
