Verrry curious about the Kermit & Malgo, even though I don't have any space for them. Thankfully they won't be out for a while. BL & AJ also look great but I have enough filters & vcas at this point. I don't have any issues with Tyme Sefari personally and still finding new uses for it. If a new firm...

In spite of not having money, I got one going last night. It's totally bonkers. I have a grasp on the basic functionality but clearly it's going to take months to really dive into the sounds. One nice very basic patch (maybe this is too obvious but try it if you haven't): main osc into a VCA or VCF....

at least in my ATC from 2015 or so, the vactrol "slew" is almost non-existent. It's very fast. Nothing like an Optomix.

So I wouldn't expect the response of the new one would be that much different, although it may respond differently to audio rate modulation.

ATC... 10HP... via instagram Ouuh nice ! Funny how it looks "cramped" for a Verbos module. Aesthetically I prefer the original, but the new design is more practical. The big knob would be more useful mapped to frequency rather than volume, especially since there's no distortion on the output. Any c...

on the ATC it's probably not going to make a huge difference, because of the input gain and lack of drive on the output. But you can always mult an envelope to a mixer if you need to boost it.

Side mount would be much better, but I could probably live with a right-angle barrel.

Ok the Horse looks fantastic, it's a no brainer for me.

But whyyyy did they put the power jack on top of the case? You can even see in the video why this is a bad idea.

I'm not optimistic but I hope this is not the final design. I don't want to have to buy a 4ms pod or something.

I would've sold Clouds if not for Parasite. I use it mostly for reverb. In terms of Clouds main mode, there are a few things I like. The gain knob is better than MG's auto-leveling. The envelopes, trigger in and pitch shift make it a lot of fun as a one-shot micro-sampler. But as a granular synth, i...

Sony PCM-D100 line in and alternatives

I'm looking at getting a Sony PCM-D100 (or something else) primarily for field recording, but I also want a line-in option for recording my modular synth occasionally. I know there are multi-track recorders with line jacks that are better suited for this, but How is the PCM-D100 line in for synths? ...

This isn't a complaint really, but merely an observation. But the HD3 seems like it's really clean and "safe" compared to the HD1. I haven't been able to get to get that screaming rippy digital angst that my mk1 likes to spit at me. PH3 also sounds cleaner than PH2. Scott described Mk3 modules as b...

Updated firmware was released overnight: http://www.industrialmusicelectronics.com/ Thanks for that. This is the contraption one uses to update the HD3, yes? https://www.amazon.com/SUPERELE-PICKit-PICKit3-programer-Simulator/dp/B01N3C3VS0/ref=sr_1_1_sspa Yep. And you can get it for a few bucks less...

Nice! I finally had my first successful Harvestman/IME update this week with a new pickit3. Still kind of a wonky process but not nearly as frustrating as my mk2 attempts were.

What i noticed is this: from the moment you find a brand/module builder and designer whose philosophy you can relate to, where the overall tone and ergonomy is something you click with, then it makes everything kind of easier. You slowly realise things like ''oh, this module pairs well with this an...

How do you like the Volca FM? How well does it integrate with your modules? I've been considering one for some added harmonics / sample source for Morphagene.

I'm a little annoyed at the prospect of having to buy a Pickit3 if I want to update. I bought a Pickit2 for the PH2 and could never get it to work. Ebay prices for 3 range from $10 to $80 and I have no way of knowing if I'm going to get a working unit this time. Any advice for a reputable place to b...

there are no "plans" as of now, but it's of course a possibility. I need to look into the hardware and see if it would make for a reasonably accurate voltmeter, because there are way better modules to create "random" ;) Thanks. I'm going to pick one up either way, but it would be a great addition i...

Has anyone attempted to build bizarro versions of DX7 patches with this thing? Or just wandered into DX7 territory? I'd imagine you could get pretty far with a pair of them and a PH3 (and a bunch of envelopes).

Is there a way to control Op B with 1v/oct?

It will. Not sure yet when the case will be released or how much it will cost (depending on which, I will buy the custom case or a 4MS pod)
