I've heard this before, and I'm curious because I've been planning to get a Moddemix as a second VCA. Does anyone use it primarily as a VCA? How does it compare to uVCA? Is it more linear or exponential?

I initially had trouble with noise / bleed out of the Circuit Abbey Unify, but it is only really noticeable when the output levels are high and the incoming signals are very quiet, and only through headphones. Connected to my computer for recording, it is totally clean / silent. I'm glad I held onto...

portable case options, 105 - 207 total hp

I have an Elite 6U x 104 hp portable case. I'm looking for an expansion that would be smaller than this but bigger than 104 hp. A longer version of the Pittsburgh flight case would be ideal.

Is there anything like this? If I had the capacity, I'd make something with the tiptop 126 or 168 HP rails.

Been playing with Metropolis for a few days. So far I love it. It's very easy to use the sync output to trigger interesting modulation. I've tried a lot of devices / software that promise a "303 slide" and this is the first one to deliver (in fact with a decent voice it sounds much better than a 303...

Thanks. Any recommendations for quieter busboards? I'm sticking with this one for now but I'm thinking of expanding to a Pittsburgh flight case when I have more modules.

Thanks--sad to hear about your experience as I really like this module. I'll probably keep it anyways but I might pick up an additional output module if this is what's causing the noise.

I have a Make Noise power bus. Would a Rosie produce lower noise with this?

noise or muffling in output / monitoring modules

I have a Unify which is a great module, but I might possibly have damaged it the very first time I hooked my rack up (due to a backwards connection or two). For the most part it works fine, but the sound seems a bit muffled to me at times. More importantly, when I turn the headphones up, there is a ...

Well, at the very least I'll still have a rack. Hope you can get some food and rest today.

I don't have any tools, but I am in the company of an electrician this weekend, so if anyone has any suggestions, fire away!

Hi John, thanks so much for the help!

I turned on the power again with all modules unplugged. The same situation: -12V and +5V lights are on, and the +12V light is off. What next?

I wish I had read this thread 3 hours ago. I got my first case and modules in the mail today, and I was SO EXCITED. (You know those kids who are so excited about their first car that they immediately crash into a wall?) I just plugged everything in (red stripe? what?) and turned it on. Best case sce...
