I certainly don't "need" it, but Andore Jr looks very handy. Packed with features without an overly dense panel design. I didn't realize there would be audio processing for both envelopes.

Now that I think of it, could be a replacement for my Intellijel ADSR...

To the OP, you can use your Focusrite interface and any Euro input module to implement what I've described above. This works great for my workflow, when sometimes I want vocals and/or guitar to get processed by my modular, and sometimes I don't, and want to do vocals + guitar + modular. Just set up...

Any experiences using these pedals with modular synth or vocals? I'm looking especially at the Mood, Condor, Brothers, and maybe Warped Vinyl for their CV input and interesting designs, but 1, I don't have a guitar, and 2, they are pretty pricey.

Eurorack + microphone: What is your setup?

I'm looking at options for adding a microphone to my rack and not sure what to do. What is your setup? If you can, please share your thoughts and experiences (not just what gear you use). I'm "informed" but a little fuzzy on all of this: Preamp, reamp, DI box, condenser vs dynamic, trs vs ts, phanto...

I use ATC often but it adds a lot of color. When I want it cleaner, I use Polaris. Optomix works nicely as well.

Sometimes I like to mix the saw with some of the sine harmonics before filtering.

I recommend checking out Hainbach At first I disliked Hainbach for some reason, but he won me over to the point where I see him as kind of an attitude role model. Curious, calm, persistent, non-judgmental. I don't mean non-judgmental in the sense of not having opinions or reactions, but more in the...

Wow, quite liked that! Would enjoy hearing more about the patch and how you manipulated it. I spent a long time on a complex "noise" patch yesterday and then broke it down to something much simpler with better results. The sound is just Hertz Donut and Morphagene. https://soundcloud.com/timelovr/ju...

both. But overall I'm much more interested in process than results. (Part of me would love to make proper songs/tracks but I'm restless, easily distracted and unskilled and modular is perfect for that.) I start with a mood or idea, build the patch up from a blank slate, possibly record and then star...

Brain Seed is also great in a small system for rewritable step sequences that can be random, variable length, or quantized. Only 4hp. I'm not sure if they're still available.

4U is a good idea, but I'd still recommend 7U. It's amazing how much just quadratt & noise tools add to a small system. I'd leave out the wogglebug. Planar2 would be great--looping cv & gate patterns. I've had clouds & rings since they came out. I still use them, they're fine for what they are, but ...

I like having a variety of aesthetics in a case. It doesn't bother me at all if it's hard to read a one-function jack because I just need to remember the one thing it does (although it is helpful when a designer is consistent in distinguishing inputs from outputs). Maths took me ten minutes to learn...

Modular music is now a form of folk music. It's accessible to almost anyone who puts aside some money for it. The gates are gone. That's a good thing. If they want to get serious and study composition and use it for that, if they want to just use Rings all day for soothing sounds, if they want to do...

ok...sorry I keep posting on this thread, but I gotta say firmware 1.5 is a big improvement. I'm not entirely sure what "Deglitched phase distortion knob and CV input" and "Removed noise from the entrance of the resonance parameter" mean, but the result is both phase distortion and resonance sound m...

I would like to CV phase distortion and resonance independently. Sounds great if you modulate both of them slowly, but it's only possible if you map one to the fold knob and one to CV. I'm guessing no, but is there any way this might be possible with a firmware update? Like remapping the CV in on th...

for something with a lot of harmonic potential under 20hp, I'd go with Piston Honda mk3 or Just Friends over Rings. Rings is ok but it's not as versatile as it should be and somewhat more useful as an effect than a voice. Honda will get you a lot further, it's a dual osc and you can easily write you...

If I were starting today this would probably be my choice for stereo delay but I have a few already. If Make Noise, Soundhack, Verbos and Intellijel can collaborate on a single stereo multitap chromatic repeater module in 24hp, delay addicts like me could finally be satisfied
