Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
you're making it into a competition. I've had too many silly debates in my life with people who use big words and have taken a philosophy course or 2.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
that you are missing is the whether one can feel that what B is doing is wrong, but recognize that others may choose for various reasons to buy the gear. I agree - I'm not going to judge someone who may not make much $, and buys some behringer because it is affordable. It's not the same as committin...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
It's a moral choice, right? Never bought any Behringer, and never will. They make me sick, and have done since the 90s. Fuck them and the clones they rode in on. It's why I won't buy Klark Teknik or Turbosound, or Midas, or TC Electronic gear any more either. So hypothetically. What if you were col...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
Well, now that we have established that Uli is a hero, put on earth to help poor children and bring great synthesizers to musicians, we should probably work on saving him the effort and finances in suing all of these people who criticize him unfairly. Perhaps anyone on this board who has sad bad thi...

'Nelson Baboon' is my user name. "the baboon" is intended to be an insult. my basic point is that you are not to be taken seriously.

he is the "real deal" because he chooses to make analog synths? this thread is getting so fucking crazy......i mean, the discussion wasn't about whether he prefers analog to digital, but about his ethics. I mean, he might be nice to his dog, too.

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
its great to have the baboon back because the old contrarian reminds me of times when muffs was just a handfull of likeminded madmen. nobody knows who the baboon really is and its not important at all :-) every social cycle needs at least one baboon. Am not a contrarian, punk. What do you mean by '...

Re: Behringer: practices, ethics, morals and legitimacy.
i think that some of the issues here are kind of complex. One can perform actions that would seem to be good ones, in that they help others, but the motives can be less than altruistic. For instance, i can't see that it is a bad thing per se to put out a tv advertisement about protecting the environ...

Re: Dreadbox Medusa monosynth
I doubt that I am the only one, but my primary complaint about the Medusa from what I've heard is that the general sound of it is blehhhh. I've watched so many videos. Listened to demos. I've really tried to give it a shot. On paper it seems intriguing and the look of it is killer, but when I actua...
