Well, then, you'll have to send ME 2 six packs of Carbon111's beer... So, let me see if I understand....come Jan 31, if I order some kind of completed case + module scenario from you, it should take 2-3 weeks, and it will cost me the cost of the units + 2 six packs of beer? LMAO Nah!!!. Carbon111 ke...

There's no wait if you're ordering assembled/ tested circuit boards. I have plenty in stock. Wo...

Alright, god damn it, I'm doing this, by god. I too am thinking that this is the obvious alternative to buying the Vostok, as an attempt to get a different, all in one semi-modular to add to my modular. By golly, these things are small, and it satisfies my main goal - which is to have some stuff th...

Always wanted one, but it's just above my impulse buy price bracket! Great sequencer. You can exceed it in most respects for far less money by buying multiple sequencers with complementary features. For example - doepfer a-155/a-154 + Oberkorn. If you need the 16 steps on the sequential switching, ...

I like the combo of the Oberkorn and the TetraMaps. Traditional and weird, odd thing is the weird sequencer outputs quantized notes. Actually I end up using the Oberkorn as a slow modulator using divisions of the midi clock for the timing. Makes me wish the TetraMaps had 2 more CV ins. I'm lo...

I no longer have the banana stuff.... I don't know though - for traditional melodic stuff, are step sequencers the best thing to use? Yes the TM-116 seems to be a mystery machine. Drool - I thought that you also had some banana units (Serge) so it might pair up well (w/ the Oberkorn). The Doepfer co...

Out of curiosity (still putting together various combinations of things to get with my 1/31 bonus) - how long is the current wait on an order? Given my rapidly shrinking space (technically, the space itself isn't shrinking, which would probably be painful, but I just seem to have less and less of it...

8 steps or 16 steps which simply repeat get boring pretty fast. I don't think that a longer sequence gets boring at a slower rate. The whole idea is that you can use it IN ADDITION to sequencing with something else. I don't mind an 8 step sequencer on it at all - seems like a great addition to me. I...

Well, it's not easy. I had to take a course in 'selling/buying lots of stuff in a relatively short amount of time, and not getting around to learning all of it fast enough to satisfy some people', and before you make fun of me, I got an A. An interesting suggestion. I have one, though - haven't gott...

An interesting suggestion. I have one, though - haven't gotten around to using it much, but I'd want something that I could dedicate to being a patchbay, and I just don't think that this is the thing to use for that. howabout a patchbay with a sequencer that controls the diffrent signal connections?...

Well, it does exactly what a sequencer demo should do - it shows off some of the unique capabilities of the instrument, and does so in a way that did pleasing things to my brain in addition. I don't know of many good sequencer demos (?) - I know that the Tom has a bunch of Oberkorn demos which demon...

That is one of the problems with sequencer demos....that sam-16 demo seems pretty nice, since obviously there is some modulation going on, both of pitch and gate length, but unlike a synth demo for the most part, you'd have to show what the connections are, etc, and how the results are obtained. A g...

yeah - you're after a feature which is quite rare in the analog sequencer world. As far as I know, the moon is the only one (?) - frustratingly I have one sitting right here, but the case/power hasn't arrived for it yet. If the price depresses you, you might consider getting a couple of the cheaper ...

Re: Is it looked down upon to sell modules on this forum??
Loving modular systems like we do here, we take it as an offense against Jehova when someone sells a module, regardless of the reason. The first time, the thread is deleted. The second time, we come after you. I placed a FS thread for a plan b evil twin and I think the thread was killed...is there n...

That looks like a nice sequencer, but I don't see a price on it....(Edit - oops - there it is - $1,000.) If you mean that it would be a nice complement to the oberkorn, I'm not so sure that it is the best choice, IF the goal is to maximize the feature set. It looks like the main feature is the modul...

? I changed the title of the thread, and destroyed the original post because I had given up on it, and wanted to make a point. The fact that few people may care about the point? Well, so be it. Droolmaster is just being coy. I know him in real life, and he is a modular stud, with scads of recordings...

Plus, aren't they renowned for being a rather ruthless company, suing people if they even dream the word 'monster'? Or am I hallucinating the memory of people calling for boycotts of them for such tactics? I love Monster and use them for most of my cables except patch cables. With their price tags y...

What must be realized is that in essence, what you're really doing is modulating your fucking brain. All of this talk of musical this and musical that - I mean all we're really doing here is trying to excite vibrations that make our brains respond in ways that we interpret as favorable. No matter wh...

It's not actually simply a war of opinions. I tried to explain to you what it was that I said, what it meant, and why I said it. You responded with your opinion, which had little to do with what I said. One thing which helps prevents people simply posting their opinions is to actually listen and res...
