Well, it does exactly what a sequencer demo should do - it shows off some of the unique capabilities of the instrument, and does so in a way that did pleasing things to my brain in addition. I don't know of many good sequencer demos (?) - I know that the Tom has a bunch of Oberkorn demos which demon...

That is one of the problems with sequencer demos....that sam-16 demo seems pretty nice, since obviously there is some modulation going on, both of pitch and gate length, but unlike a synth demo for the most part, you'd have to show what the connections are, etc, and how the results are obtained. A g...

yeah - you're after a feature which is quite rare in the analog sequencer world. As far as I know, the moon is the only one (?) - frustratingly I have one sitting right here, but the case/power hasn't arrived for it yet. If the price depresses you, you might consider getting a couple of the cheaper ...

Re: Is it looked down upon to sell modules on this forum??
Loving modular systems like we do here, we take it as an offense against Jehova when someone sells a module, regardless of the reason. The first time, the thread is deleted. The second time, we come after you. I placed a FS thread for a plan b evil twin and I think the thread was killed...is there n...

That looks like a nice sequencer, but I don't see a price on it....(Edit - oops - there it is - $1,000.) If you mean that it would be a nice complement to the oberkorn, I'm not so sure that it is the best choice, IF the goal is to maximize the feature set. It looks like the main feature is the modul...

? I changed the title of the thread, and destroyed the original post because I had given up on it, and wanted to make a point. The fact that few people may care about the point? Well, so be it. Droolmaster is just being coy. I know him in real life, and he is a modular stud, with scads of recordings...

Plus, aren't they renowned for being a rather ruthless company, suing people if they even dream the word 'monster'? Or am I hallucinating the memory of people calling for boycotts of them for such tactics? I love Monster and use them for most of my cables except patch cables. With their price tags y...

What must be realized is that in essence, what you're really doing is modulating your fucking brain. All of this talk of musical this and musical that - I mean all we're really doing here is trying to excite vibrations that make our brains respond in ways that we interpret as favorable. No matter wh...

It's not actually simply a war of opinions. I tried to explain to you what it was that I said, what it meant, and why I said it. You responded with your opinion, which had little to do with what I said. One thing which helps prevents people simply posting their opinions is to actually listen and res...

droolmaster0 http://www.psychologistworld.com/stress/angertest.php It's rare to find someone who covers all of the 'frivolous poster' bases. Congrats! I don't understand how $8 is expensive. I made an image of 2 stack cables ($16) vs doepfer multiple ($45 + 4hp real estate). I'm not a digital artist but this windows paint pic should explain what I'm talking about. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix/1206_stackcables_1.jpg [/img] Well, sure ...

if you're referring to my post, I was absolutely agreeing with you. It absolutely works for me. midi clock out (CK) into clock in (Clocking IN). I had top change the midi receive channel on the Oberkorn from the factory setting to fit my system. The manuals tell how to do that. https://www.muffwiggl...

Will comment that I'm trying out the bubblesound, and I really like its character. Nothing I have sounds remotely like it.... I'll also comment on the Cwejman sound. I really like it. I'm a fan. But my attitude has been, because the Cwejman sound is so precise and of its own character - I have a Cwe...

Flight of Harmony is one manufacturer who if he released a module called X, and didn't tell anyone what it did, and charged $300, would get my money without hesitation. I really like the qmmg, and will probably get a second, but as a pure filter, I don't like it as much as some others. Frequensteine...

appreciate this, yeah I have a ton of outboard spring reverbs but was actually pretty blown away when I heard the feedback on the doepfer and they are so cheap so I think I'll just get one. Will look into these other filters, and in terms of high quality I think I should have said "musical" Well, t...

yeah - this should work, but I think that the very first batch were fucked up. I got one shortly after it came out, and returned it precisely because this stuff (can't remember exactly what) just didn't work. But it does now. So - yeah - he should try what you suggest (cable from the ck output to th...

... Here is how I would phrase it. When you start on a new piece you are faced with an empty page (or blank armed track, as it were). There is a universe of possibilities available and innumerable questions to answer. Basing some part it around a piece of gear takes some of these questions off the ...
