If you're handy with a bit of DIY, why not use a dual Op-Amp? Amp 1 as an inverting high gain rail to rail amp (that'll square things up) and the second to re-invert and bring the output level down to what you need… not sure what the output is on the ES3. 7 components in all (4 resistors, 1 tr...

Thx Guys… I'm attempting a Minimoog clone, and I just wanted to make sure those outputs were correct. Interesting thought… Just wondering if the low VCO output (later amplified) combined with the rats nest panel wiring accounts for the dreadful "beehive" bleed through at the final output...

Minimoog VCO outputs

Having a look at the Minimoog VCO schematics…

Can anybody here confirm that both the Triangle and Saw outputs (pre mix) are +/-1.7v and the square is 0-3.4v

I'm so used to waveforms being either +/-5v or 0-10v, so this seems a bit weird… but then again, it's a Moog

Re: System X VCO

i have build of these 3 VCO's and 2 are working fine, one is very unstable and drifts when i for instance touch the LM13700. Can that be faulty? LM13700? On the VCO? I'm sure you mean the CA3046. I've just finished 3 of Rick's VCO's and they're great… I'm using them in my Minimoog clone as I ...

Made almost entirely from ARP schematics (2 x ARP Odyssey and a 2600)

Patching with black cables is a bitch though.

I agree with Diablojoy… All my NPN/PNP transistors were supplied "on tape" - So probably, they're all from the same batch I didn't match any transistors when I built my 2600 clone The only reason I didn't match them is because I was basically "testing" each PCB as I went along, thinking I'd sw...

So glad I stumbled across this thread. I risked £9 for 100 sheets… they arrived fairly well packaged and flat. Worked 1st time, very happy with the results. I've used a UV system for the past 5 years but have always been limited to the size of the PCB I could make… al least now I can ...

Studiologic Sledge - Hidden parameters

So many people keep comparing the Blofeld to the Sledge that, out of curiosity, I loaded up a Blofeld CC editor using Reaktor to see if anything would happen on the Sledge… I've found a couple of things of interest 8_) You can access extra filters modes: CC No. 68 Notch 24dB (Data 7) Notch 12d...

I went the DIY route - But I got too impatient waiting for the TTSH and ended up cloning my own for just under £1200 (including the 3620 Duophonic keyboard).

But I would recommend the TTSH now that it's almost ready.

Yup, the T2000's BP resonates nicely… stick it through a fuzz box for some great sync-like timbres

If memory serves me correctly, ARP's 4023 VCF actually has an unused BP output on the module - PIN 9 (it's used as a test point)

You'll probably need to buffer it though.

Hey AndyrUK that's a nice looking beast...and with four waveforms per oscillator! And sync - VCO 1 to 2 & 3 Not sure what happened to my AndyrUK account - seems to have gone haywire - Reregistered as Broadwave. Now that we have dimensions, I'll see about putting up an MDF cutting template for the c...
