Re: Experinced wigglers: Does it still surprise you?
.. am I still surprised? .... I damned well better be! ... it's the entire reason I bought the evil damned thing in the first place (since 1978, I am not a boomer though .. never have been, don't suppose I ever will be).

Re: Isolation box for guitar amplifier
a power soak gives the amp less voltages... ? Nope ... it's an electrical device that makes your amplifier "think" it's still connected to a speaker, you plug it into the SPEAKER OUTPUT of your amplifier (you may need to modify your amplifier with an additional speaker output to use one of these so...

Re: Isolation box for guitar amplifier
Im not so well read into the different specs of amplifiers, so I just provide a link with my amp: https://www.suprousa.com/amplifiers/blues-king-12/#specs It has a line out, but that is not for other speakers? Anyways, I like the idea of a more open design! It doesnt have to be airtight, dead quiet...

Re: How were sound effects done on Moog modulars ?
Thanks for the replies, but tbh i still don't understand how you use a 921 VC Oscillator as an LFO, would need to see some patching examples i think! ... it's just an oscillator running at "low frequency" ... usually beneath 20hz or thereabouts is where most folks call things "Low freq". But all yo...

... it's not hard to do ... use a small screwdriver to bend the leads around so you create a consistent look to each component ... as was mentioned (KSS) try to avoid installing the component too close to the solder pads so as to prevent roasting the important parts ... in these pics some of them we...

... plug your synth's power supply into a switched power strip ... a good one. Belkin makes one, all steel, 10 outlets, and 3kv of voltage spike protection along with a panel mounted (easy to access) manually reset circuit breaker.

My EHX Electric Mistress circuit board doesn't look like that (the green one posted a few posts up). Re: Looking for standalone sound design sampler.
How does something similar to the MPC 1 compare with the 1010 Music Blackbox? Price wise we're only looking at a $100 difference between the two items ($600 Blackbox .. $700 MPC 1). I'll do some of my own research on the MPC1 (or similar) but meanwhile perhaps someone could offer a brief synopsis on...

Patching a comparator or VCA -or both- before the hardsync input may prove useful. Oh yea huh. :) That does get the mental images whirling. Brings to mind one of the Nord Modular patches which uses a phase shifter in between two VCOs in a hard sync patch. VCO1-out gozintuh Phase Shifter-in ... Phas...
