Pedant alert :godzilla:

The verb form of "convolution" is

convolve

not

convolute

Yes, I realize they share a common Latin root.

Module shows some promise.
Thanks for the demos, tbecker.

Does OT allow you to modulate internal LFOs by other internal LFOs?

E.g. Slewed random output of LFOa modulating rate of LFOb?

Don't forget the distortion/fuzz pedal though
Well that goes without saying.

or better yet,

I'm developing an mbira fuzz module for Eurorack. It will cost $1399 but it's gonna be brutal.

why not use a real mbira and a piezo? Instrument modeling is great, but why emulate when the real thing is so easily attainable for far less money than some crazy euro solution. Elements ($540 plus tax and shipping) Mysteron ($300 plus tax and shipping) Res-4 ($800 plus tax and shipping, if you can ...

Or use a quantizer that outputs chords like the Quantimator or use the erthenvar patch cord module. This. The Flame Chord Machine or the Toppobrillo Quantimator are much smaller than the Patch Chord. Also to consider: Doepfer a-156, intellijel µScale2, or wait for the upcoming SynthTech e102 (lo...

I think the only thing I would be worried about is making sure there are no gaps in the rack so patch leads don't accidentally fall inside and make friends with the power supply rails :hihi: Or your chair slides 8 inches to the left or right and you reach in and accidentally grab the rails. I since...

Your sample may not be starting at a zero-crossing. this, exactly. most times, they aren't, especially if they're lo-res. Adding a short fade-in at the beginning and a short fade-out at the end of each sample should help. That way you're forcing the DAC to start at 0, ramp up and down, and then ret...

You could also apply an very envelope with a very short attack. Trigger the sample and the env at the same time. The click is a DAC voltage spike that occurs when the VCA goes from 0 to X volts instantaneously. Another workaround is to gently shape (short fade-in/fade-out) the front and back of your...

+1 on Double Andore. Trash all your finest signals through it with ease.

Plus you get two awesome cross-modulating wavetable envelopes and tons of clocking options. One of my favorite modules!

I tend to like envelopes for modulations. They aren't bipolar, which is a sort of tradeoff, but I feel like cycling envelopes give a shifting timbre some breath, some sort of organic natural feeling. I personally don't like the periodicity of an LFO all the time, unless it's too slow to be perceived...

not exactly... Livewire and Monorocket have been under the same roof since the AFG launched (July 2008). I just decided to stop managing multiple email accounts. Thanks for the clarity, and glad to hear things are on track! Livewire was one of the primary reasons for my entry into Euro-land, and I'...
