thanks graham, that's helpful info. any suggestions on a heavy wire to try out? i can handle connecting it between the cases via a spade lug on the eurorack bus board 0v and the banana 0v jack on the buchla.

I'll add that it seems the noise is reduced when using an audio cable to connect between the systems instead of a banan cable (plus the 0v jack)

I'm using the term ground because that's what the manufacturers call it (labeled even on the bus board), wrong as it is. it sounds like if i want to continue using these portable cases, my best option is to establish a connection between TE on both cases with a heavy wire, right? not the most perfec...

Validating ground between two systems

Does anyone have any tips on validating ground between two systems? I'm attempting to ground a Buchla case to an Intellijel 7u Eurorack case and I'm getting some noise on the Buchla when connections are bridged between the two -- this is true over audio connections and cv connections where the banan...

Looking for a simple 223e polyphony tutorial

Use of polyphony on the 223e is eluding me -- can anyone provide a very basic step by step tutorial? These settings aren't working for me: Radio 6 grouped to L, M, N L, M, N all assigned CV values > 0 Radio 7 grouped to L, M, N Polyphony enabled for 67 Radio 6 CV1 patched to CV in of 261e principal ...

296e firmware question

i picked up a used 296e and it has firmware 3.03 on it -- does this need an update to 30.2 (latest firmware listed on buchla site) to work with a primo system? if so, the usb firmware card should be all that's needed to update, right? thanks all!

FWIW I spoke with JRR earlier this week and they are in contact with BEMI. whether they are auth'd or not, i'm unsure, but they apparently can reach BEMI pretty easily.

tbh the blade even looks cheap in the pictures on the BEMI website. for the cost and space it takes up in a cabinet, you're likely better off buying a small intellijel case (https://intellijel.com/product/4u-x-42hp-eurorack-case/).

just to clarify, this issue was never resolved in a firmware update for the 225e? i'm considering between the 225e and 223e and this issue seems like the biggest con for the 225e.

owner of a new instant lofi junky here-- anyone ever experience it 'locking up?' the only way to describe it is that the chorus gets stuck in a loop (speed control no longer works at this point), which eventually dies and the entire effect goes quiet. after this happens, leaving it turned off for a ...

I asked ALM about this and they said it's normal to have low level high pitched noise. Turn down the operator levels and crank up your output level-- you'll hear it.

Hey there Cold Mac crew. Has anyone out there used this as a logic module for drum triggers to get rhythmically pleasing variations? I've owned mine for a while, but like many others, having a tough time wrapping my head around it. I'm currently planning out the rest of my system with a focus on dr...

anyone have problems with saving state on the zorlon? holding the encoder for 2+ seconds doesn't cause the range buttons to blink, and state isn't saved (confirmed by double tapping the encoder, which changes the settings to default). Hmmmm, you're not the first to mention this. See previous page o...

anyone find out when the intellijel 84hp cases will have their price reduced? I'm hoping soon, otherwise it seems silly to announce a price drop so early. I have a couple of the 7U cases and one reason I bought them is for the TPS80 power supplies. Danjel mentioned changing the power supplies--pres...
