initially read topic as "Noh-Drum Percussion". Anyways, for a basic snare I mix an oscillator and a bp filtered noise source (or choice of colored noise), lightly fm the oscillator with an envelope send either direct to vca or (another) bandpass filter+vca. Can be the same envelope or use a differen...

ok thoses looks nice and sharp but I have a question. Latest modules from Make Noise: Telharmonic = Gray Rosie = Black O-Coast = Black (ok it's not a module) Tempi = Black Morphagene = Black Contour = Gray Dynamix = Gray What's the color plan at Make Noise? I don't get it. :hmm: Black means control...

definitely get in touch with/send it to MakeNoise. My buddy had similar issues but it turned out to be a faulty unit. They took care of it and now he's doing fine.
You will never pry Rene from my dried out hands.

[quote="boramx"] be nice to write to tape too. is the implementation of a record-head much different from the play-head? probably a pretty steep pad to get line level signals? I'd be into a bizarre analogue CV recorder set up where i write really lofi CVs onto a big strands of magnetic tape.[/quote ...

Grids can be a pain to sync since it prefers a 24ppqn clock for performing triplets and 32nd notes but it's fun to play and making use of the x/y and reset inputs make for wild rhythms.

still wrapping my head around Tempi. I like it but don't love it. Frankly, I'm been missing my RCD and SCM but I'm going to wait it out.

AKEMIE'S TAIKO hasn't been mentioned. I love mine.

mk1's switches retain their state as previously mentioned but mk2 allows for simultaneous 0-8v and a variable output from channels 1&4.

4ms QCD wouldn't give you true skips but you could divide your clock down to create a rest. Otherwise it would depend on your modulation source.

too many quantizers. i would choose either the uscale or the Quantimator. You already have built in quantizing in the Rene as well as the Telharmonic.
