Re: Thicket Whispers - a Ciat Lonbarde album

I actually have an R8, but the second channel developed some noise thats unbearable to me.. very sad. so was considering getting the R16, but now I see it only does 44hz, which is problematic for video stuff.. Anyways, I saw you mastered in Cubasis 2 also. Have considered using that more. Anyways, y...

Re: Put your Album Release into this Thread!

Hey all, here is a collection of sounds made on some m32s, dfam, microkorg and my small but growing modular system. This project started as a request for some soundtrack work for a video series, I am working on the next collection. Most of the stuff will be used, some of it is too busy for the proj...

Re: Grendel Drone

Well I wouldn’t sell the Lyra! I have always wanted to work with one.. the Grendel is an excellent tool to have, not perfect for all situations, but is so fun to jam with.. it’s a drone that keeps a constant pulse, which is great..

Re: Grendel Drone

Everything you hear from the start is the Grendel except the added four on the floor bass pulse (sub37) and later percussion. it’s two tracks of it with some Eventide Pitchfacter controlling the pitch and also adding delay.. so it’s mostly Grendel throughout..

Re: Grendel Drone

I didn’t even know this thing existed! You’re getting some great sounds out of it. Congratulations. Thanks! It’s a really special drone synth that is wildly expressive! Highly recommended, I guarantee there are many that agree.. it’s not a workhorse, but what it does well, there is no substitute.

I'm using my Reface DX a lot. I find it is great to layer on top of other synth sounds to add some 'sparkle'. The pads are very good too. I really like the CS, but I have place myself under 'no more synths' lockdown, until such time as I offload some that I am not using enough. I need to find someo...

My approach is boring, I actually work out the theory! :) For example, in the new large-scale piece I am finishing up, the core scale is D harmonic minor, which leads to some interesting chord progressions and harmonies using AMaj. For each section of the larger piece, I explore neighbor tones by u...

I use my Eventide Pitchfactor occasionally, but I don't think you can hear the sound as it tunes, haven't done this for a few months as I have been using my digital stuff. But its a nice option for me as its usually already on my aux send of the mixer..

love EHX pedals, but at the moment only using the microPOG, perfect for adding depth to certain sounds.. Prefer it more than the larger POG pedals..

also have:

Clone Theory
Germanium OD
Memory Boy

looking to add at some point:

Clockworks
Big Muff

have had the Sony MDR7506 for about two years and while I liked them at first they've become almost unbearable. Tried to use them last night and after about 10 minutes my ears just hurt. the ear pads are also starting to fall apart, seemingly at an exponential rate. for the DT770, is there a big di...

The reface DX has CC numbers for the parameters. Set the nanokontrol to output those CCs on its dials and sliders via the software editor. Plug it in, and off you go. Really enjoying my Reface DX. Sounds great and the looper is really cool. Most amazing part is that the mini-keys are not bothering me as I am using it for basses and leads mostly. The keys do have a nice feel to them.
