It's hard to comprehend why it's more expensive than their mini 2600.

Bitsbox offer very good service, I use them a lot for small qty stuff as their postage rates are so cheap. They even claim they will sell you just 1 resistor.

Re: EG1 OUT problem
The level out pot only affects the normal out, it doesn't affect the INV OUT, so unfortunately doesn't prove anything.
Ideally you need to measure the resistance of the pot ( and/or trimmer). Do you have a multimeter?

Re: in 2020 which Tayda parts do you buy, which do you avoid?
I ordered some knobs from them that looked the equivalent of some that Rapid in the UK sell, but the indicator marking wasn't very good so would avoid those in the future, but never had any problems with actual electronic components,

Andertons have the Uno synth for £109, which seems a good deal if you're after one.

Re: Blacet EG1 - Cool Trix
Looks like it was the trimmer - I turned it fully in the opposite direction and now the envelope sounds a lot better, more natural. I think the decay trimmer was set in the linear position, so a linear envelope going into a linear VCA made it sound odd.

Re: Blacet EG1 - Cool Trix
Sorry, if I am asking the obvious: Do you use a gate (e.g. from a keyboard) signal? Yes, using a gate (or clock from binary zone) Yes there is a ramp LFO when inputting a voltage with sustain at zero. Playing around with it a bit more, it all seems a bit off, as the LFO keeps going until the sustai...

Re: CEM3320 reissued vcf -Obxa
Out of curiosity, are you using the new CEM resissue from Curtis themselves, or the Alfa version of the 3320? The resonance on the Alfa part behaves differently to the original, there may well be other differences.

Bumping an old thread to try and make sense of my EG1...
How do you get it to generate a 'standard' adsr shape? I don't know if mine is faulty, but in ADSR/LFO mode the decay pot doesn't seem to do anything, but it does in AD mode. Is that normal?

Re: Some new Frac Modules
Just wanted to say that if anyone wants any of these before the year end, they should order within the next week. For those in the U.S., the last tracked order took 8 days to arrive, but I wouldn't want to guarantee that as we approach Christmas. For those in the EU, no one yet knows what the situat...

When ordering at JLCPCB you get the option to pay VAT up front, this way it's a known cost, you don't get stung with any nasty surprises.

Good to see it's got a separate power supply input rather then just relying on the flimsy micro usb socket like the Beatstep Pro.
Also note the mini 2600 is in the picture on the product page.

Has anyone found suitable pots to use in place of the discontinued Panasonic's? Was thinking of the right angle 9mm Alpha's, but obviously they don't have brackets.

Re: Alternative to Waldorf Streichfett?
Someone mentioned the Minilogue XD, I have the Prologue and use the String user oscillator from Tim Shoebridge, which mimics the divide down string synth oscillators. It does a very good job, plus you then have the analogue filter and FX path to make use of as well. Well worth checking out.
