Re: Antimatter Sub Ring Osc Mixer W/ Subs Mixer Ringmod Noise

I'm resurrecting this thread. Can any current or past users of the Sub Ring comment on it? I'm looking for an audio mixer to combine multiple oscillators, within a 6 HP limit. I first targeted the Happy Nerding 6xMix but that's not available anywhere in the US. My searching then led me to the Sub Ri...

Warps is almost made for vocals. Also, Morphagene is a ton of awesome on voice.
How so? Besides the vocoder?
I'm working on a song right now where I ran vocals through its ring mod. The other modes can give some interesting results too. The internal oscillator makes things very easy.

+1 for Warps. The other modes besides vocoder can do cool things with vocals too.

How did it bring your R55 to life? Are you patching them into each other in some way?

Re: NEW KICK / BASS Drum from WMD, CRATER

Mine arrived yesterday. In my first session with it last night, I wandered my way into some snare/snappy percussion sounds. I put another oscillator into the V/oct to get FM, turned the main decay way down to keep the FM part short, and turned the click decay all the way up. Playing with the differe...

Re: FM Aid or a second VCO

FM Aid is great! However you should definitely still consider a second oscillator. See this thread I started a few years ago (ugh, make that almost 5 years ago!) about using FM Aid with a single oscillator versus multiple oscillators: https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=145426. Re: Bread and Butter Analog Oscillators in 2020

This thread will quickly turn into everyone recommending their own personal favorite oscillator. For me that's the WMD/SSF Spectrum, simply because of its versatility and ease of use. One thing I always like to see is 5 knobs: coarse tuning, fine tuning, FM attenuation, pulse width, and PWM attenuat...

Re: Quadrax and Qx by Intellijel + [ VIDEOS ]

I'm surprised this thread has been dormant for 6 months. How are users of the Quadrax liking it? I've had a Quadra for years and use it constantly. I wish I could get a 2 or 4 HP expander for it to give me CV over attack and decay. The full Quadra expander module is too big. It's too bad the Utter D...

Re: Variable Waveshape Oscillators in Euro

I forgot one that I actually own! WMD/SSF Modbox. It's primarily a dual LFO, but it tracks V/Oct and one of the two oscillators skews from ramp up to triangle to ramp down.

Re: Variable Waveshape Oscillators in Euro

I'm reviving this thread. What currently available analog oscillators have variable, voltage controllable wave shapes? Grepping this thread, the options seem to be Make Noise STO, Sputnik Oscillator, and Mannequins Mangroves. Also there are some complex oscillators with this function, but I'm really...

Re: What are you using for synth module desktop stands?

I just got a KVGear Adapt Stand L2 yesterday and used it to create this setup. I'm using the 13" connecting tubes (it comes with 9" by default but it's only a few dollars extra to get a larger size), and their large expansion shelf on the upper tier to hold the two Boomstars. Re: Just a Metasonix RK7 Tube VCO module

I did something! I got my RK7 today. After skimming the manual, which called me an incel and told me not to piss on it or stick it up my ass, I plugged it in and played for a few hours. I used a traditional VCO (WMD/SSF Spectrum) square wave into the RK7 pitch input to control it, and I was able to ...

I've suddenly become very interested in the Abyss, but of course it's discontinued. Does anyone have any knowledge of whether Dreadbox plans to bring the Abyss back into production, either the same version or a v2? Also, does anyone have any leads on where to buy one? I checked the For Sale forum he...
