Re: Dave Smith hint of a new synth coming up in August

Seriously don’t know how anyone couldn’t like this unless they were a total wanker. It’s one of the only modern polys that really sounds vintage, way more vibey and reliable than a moog one or something with tuning problems and it’s coming from a company with tegrity you can feel good about supporti...

Re: Behringer PPG.......

This thing would be amazing, considering tuning issues are a big problem for poly analog synths like the cough... worthless $8500 new moog one with horrible tuning issues... a ppg clone could still get the benefit of warm vcf/vca but have rock solid tuning. I would take this over ANY poly on the mar...

Re: Obsessing about MIDI latency and jitter

Man, I kind of gave up and just use the MPC Live and record to the computer like a tape deck with no grid... rock solid. Have you tried using the Roland sbx-1 it can allow you to send jitter free clock to a an external sequencer then record audio from your synths back in. I'm no expert here obviousl...

Re: Behringer Pro 800, Prophet 600 clone

At least they are finally doing a polysynth

cloning monosynths is not that impressive, lets see if they can make a classic poly without tuning issues

doesnt the micromoog have a weird 1.2 per volt scaling or something weird? I think the micromoog and multimoog have a hard time scaling with convertors

I bought a te-1 online, not understanding the differences between units.

Does it not have CV? I thought I saw a te-1 on the company’s Instagram account that was doing cv and controlling the start stop of the te-1.

I can find a manual, or any info on the website. Could anyone chime in? :hail:

Isn’t it obvious that they put out a rendering a week after Yamaha tests the waters with a cs-80 feeler post? Looks like someone whipped this up real quick as a marketing tactic to deter Yamaha, I mean it’s makes zero sense to have all the tiny faders. No way would you put the tiny faders in for a b...

Would be amazing but I'm skeptical. The inside of a CS80 looks like a telephone exchange circa 1970, and I'm not sure how a surface-mount version would sound. Oh yeah I guess I do know how it could sound -- like DD. Which didn't excite me at all. Anyone who thinks DD sounds just like a CS80 needs t...

polychain is a little more complicated than just sending the same midi signal to all synths. You want one synth to trigger when you press the first note of your chord on the keyboard, the next synth to trigger with the next note, etc. I have a (n expensive) eurorack module that does this. Wiggler F...

best way to polychain cv synths with some global controls?

Considering something like getting 8 behringer pro ones and poly chaining with an encore expressionist. So what about being able to send filter cutoff to all the synths and a few other global parameters? The oberheim four voice programmer wasn't exactly comprehensive anyways. Would this be best achi...
