maybe you should name all your modules ' It does what it does' :hihi:

Other variations:

"i does it depending on what it can do'
'If it can't do it possible another module will do it'
'All of this model do the same'
'Din daa daa,Don't doe doe'

Re: Synthi 100 (Mk1) Dual High Pass Filter Rack Module

Inside the DHPF, the only change compared to 1970s rack modules has been to use a modern (and safer) switch mode PSU. How exactly is that safer? You do realise that this is illegal to sell in the EU without having a CE mark and the appropriate LVD certification, don't you? I guess less heat produci...

Re: 259e & 261e - never stay in tune - anyone advise ?

If you pair it with a 10v output modded Serge tkb you can tune each key and then its use-able ,but you are limited to 16 keys.. What is the mod for? Is it to protect the Buchla from over-voltage? No ,with a 10v KB range output you can set a lower 'zero-point' pitch offset on the vco's w/o the need ...

Re: 259e & 261e - never stay in tune - anyone advise ?

Because the CV input is via a attenuverter potmeter its a pain to use any v/oct CV source and having to track accurately two 200e oscillators together.

Re: 259e & 261e - never stay in tune - anyone advise ?

anyway... this is unbelievable you can play them correctly using CV input. all you can do is random stuff, isn't? Yep,you have pricey 'hi end' vco's and all you can do ,peeps and blobs or drones indeed ..or bad tuned/tracked 'improv' compositions using analog touch-plates . If you pair it with a 10...

Re: Pin headers/boxed headers quality differences?

But some of those headers have a darker color and some more bright, maybe its just related to the purity of the gold coat ? Thickness of coating and especially the underplating will affect color. Don't be fooled by 'gold-plated' as being enough to know. The under plating is very important too. Gold ...

Re: Pin headers/boxed headers quality differences?

Is there a graduation/value/norm we can read to check and compare the oxidation process of the plating? You can read the manufacturers' data sheets, but they won't be specified the same way. Some give you the thickness of the gold. However they all expect you to use their mating connectors. If you ...

Re: Pin headers/boxed headers quality differences?

Do you think there is a big quality difference or another good reason to go with the expensive ones? The difference is in the thickness and quality of the gold plating. These connectors may be rated A, B or C or Class I, II or III and each one has a number of mating cycles ranging from 50 to 250 be...

I don’t think the sound worth that much...for me this prices are highly inflated About the SP-2400: the comparison videos shows that it’s close enough to get the same kind of gritt and transposition behavior with lots of more features, so the remain money that you would pay for the original is for ...

being realistic: how much this machine would cost if you take apart the hype and inflated prices?
