Re: KORG miniKORG 700FS
I dig it. Been lusting after a Maxi version for years. This is more attainable and probably good enough. this is my opinion. I had a Maxi and loved it. I'd love either that, a 770, or this; but whatever it is needs to have external control options. midi is even better than cv/gate, so this is great...

Re: Something new from Make Noise?
from the lines forum: "when the 0-CTRL was announced last year, I tweeted that it would be cool to hear Alessandro do a series of “0-Coast + 0-CTRL + effects” recordings like his “Forse” trilogy with the Buchla Music Easel, and he responded “Close but no cigar…” followed by “What I meant was that th...

Re: Korg 2600 Mini
it's adorable, I love it. much easier to justify adding this to my original 2600 than adding the FS version. but both ideas are insane... this is definitely going to be less of an interactive/playable experience versus the kind of "full immersion" you feel playing the full size version; but it'll st...

Re: Synth reductionism..or less is less
I frankly lack the skill and talent to not have loads of gear. Hmmm... that’s kind of a strange way to look at it. Lots of talented people out there making great use of large systems. Just depends on what resonates with an individual. This idea that smaller systems automatically mean better creativ...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths
Are there any Syntrx users on the forum who had previous experience with the Vermona Perfourmer Mk2 and can write something about the advantage of one over the other in terms of sound quality in the basic VCO, VCF, VCA configuration? I am asking about the strength of the voice itself, the core of t...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths
well... you wish for both, I'm sure: that you could get a legit synthi sometime soon and that you could get a clone of this sort for 3k. it's quite clear in your posts. you went there cash in hand hoping it was something better than it ended up being to your ears. this is fine, btw. we all wish we c...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths
it's not a 1:1 copy and it's not meant to be. this is what Erica says, and i read it everywhere. but when you copy a much desired vintage synth's (remarkable) interface and lay-out to such detail, you are clearly trying to appeal to the people who want a synthi. ... this could have been a great syn...

Re: Sequentix Cirklon - what make it so desirable?
It can run step sequences .. so does my Doepfer Dark Time or Beatstep Pro I paid $1800 used for one. when I got it, I sold my Dark Time and Beatstep Pro, along with five Kenton Midi-CV converters. that paid for most of the thing, and it does a ton more than those devices ever did. yeah you can prol...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths
Hi Im new here and looking for a synthi -a- like synth. I'm waiting for a pin portabella but also interested in the synthrx maybe nice add on to my setup. But I wondering how close it really come to a ems or pins synth. These mic and speaker comparison are ridiculous. It would be great if someone c...

Re: Fitting 0-Coast and 0-CTRL into a case
OP's original pic below. cool idea. I'd like to see it more in a Music Easel type of case. something that fits it closer with both modules in the case bottom, then a removable lid (ideally). but this is cool too. I'd say check out the Buchla/Serge/Synthi sub-forum. there are some threads on DIY-ing ...

Re: for trade (us): my korg arp 2600 for your ferrari
There is someone on Craigslist asking for a 808/909 combo for their korg 2600. People need to just sell them closer to what they paid or take out an ad in a paper or pay for banner ads haha he's on Reverb too: https://reverb.com/item/37487393-korg-arp-2600-fs-semi-modular-synthesizer-open-to-trades...

Re: Introducing Audio Housing and the Compact One music production desk.
love the idea overall, but I'm not in the market at the moment. primarily because I need more pure desktop space to put my work laptop as well as music computer and other music goodies. price isn't awful for what it is, but man that shipping to the states really gets ya! I get it though, shipping ov...

Would be pretty damn happy with this place and gear.

Ones that deal with Roland gear specifically. Thanks! where are you? shipping stuff can get expensive, so it's best to have someone nearby. I, unfortunately, do not. I live in northeast Ohio and Analogics, who used to be near Cleveland, moved to Florida. I've used Belltone Synth Works in Philly bef...

Re: new Synthi inspired machine coming from Erica Synths
Just got an Stock Alert from Perfect Circuit saying that they now of the Syntrx in stock. I went this route during the Halloween 10% off sale; though I missed the one they had in stock so had to wait. while it's of course nice to get the discount, I mainly just didn't want to screw with customs. lo...

Re: Got some Arp 2600 furniture. Using it a lot more now!
I maybe only used it every couple of weeks because it was on the floor. yeah the floor, or near it, is a bad place for any gear really. I've found exactly the same thing though: if it's below knee height, I'll barely use it. I only put rack gear and effects/pedals on the floor anymore. things that ...

Re: Korg 2600 Mini
I believe the K2600 Mini is designed for 19” rack compatibility. if not it's awfully close, going by eyeballing with the "Volca unit" measurement. perhaps they wanted to do similar to Beh's rack-able offering, but give you the option of having it in the Tolex case as well. looking at my 2600 with a...

Re: Dave Smith hints at Sequential Prophet 5 Rev4/Prophet 10
Either he was telling the truth and Sequentix has an incredibly unprofessional approach to QC or he was making up a congenial cover for the fact Sequentix didn't do any QC. Either way it's surprisingly lax for a piece of electronic equipment selling for $3k. FYI: Sequentix make the Cirklon sequence...

Re: Moog Grandmother plus eurorack filt env
you could also get a Mother 32. OK the envelope isn't as good as the Grandmother's, since it's ASR instead of ADSR, with a switchable on/off Sustain. BUT you don't have to worry about power or a case, etc. and you obviously get a lot more besides just the envelope. including an LFO and an oscillator...
