Re: Banana system pictures

It's not actually 'out' as yet, but I'm sure when it is all those things will be available! PCB is 2" x 6" though (Serge style)

Nice one teleport! I dye jacks too, it's quite fun to experiment with! Though I must say I have ended up with some weird colours :hihi:

Re: Banana system pictures

I don't know the Buchla or Bode, but I do know the Haible, a bit hard to compare as that has quite a bit extra, or maybe different going on. It's very good, clean, and works and tracks very well, also quite a small footprint due to all SMT design. Quite a bit of calibration (as with all FS's I guess...

Yes, don’t do that!

Also worth mentioning that certain settings of the trimmer will stop it cycling, so if you are trimming and it stops you can go back to where you were and it will start again, you may need to toggle the cycle switch though.

Re: "Best" Banana Color Scheme for New Format?

Ken had a good one ‘add yellow for outputs’, so for example blue in for cv, green for out, red in for logic, orange for out etc!

@the bad producer:

that's the Sketchy special 'Quadra'? What's the frequency shifter?
It's by a chap called Bagoly Synth from Berlin, he designed a new FS based around all modern IC's (2164 etc) that is pretty great!

Re: Serge VCFQ? Essential!

I would imagine it's pretty much the same as this, in a way it has to be or it wouldn't be a VCFQ! https://www.elby-designs.com/webtek/cgs/serge/cgs112/cgs112.htm As luck would have it, my kit arrived yesterday! It's the 3U version, and in the build documentation it mentions an optional jumper + res...

Re: [Shipping] - Euro Panel/Kit for Serge Resonant EQ Mk. II

Did you confirm it’s fried state by checking it with correct power? If it is I would deffo swap electrolytics and chips, the rest would probably be fine - also did you use beads or 10R resistors by the power input?

Re: CGS514

Gandalf may be right, I can't really see from those pics, but I would point out that your power header is backwards to conventional orientation, of course you may have the correct voltage going to the correct pin so it would be fine, but maybe not? If you look at the PCB image the footprint has a do...

Re: CGS514

What version of the PCBs do you have? I have built V2 and they were fine, just about to build a V2.1 (I think the only difference is that V2.1 fixes the missing link that V2 had)
