Yes indeed! The tone of the Polaris is more like the Dr. Oct which i really liked, but I also liked how versatile the Korgasmatron was with it's multimodes and CV'able resonance, fader, etc. I feel like 2 Polaris and a crossfader is like the best of both worlds in a way. I'm glad to hear that becau...

Also an MMF-6  I sold most of my other filters, except for my Defibrillator, to fund the MMF-6. Between the Defib and the MMF-6, I felt I had a lot of ground covered. Now both of them, and also my RES EQ, got sold to fund the Polarises. Not doing anything Polyphonic, I just love using filt...

No doubt. I literally sold all of my other filters and replaced them with the Polaris. My 3rd Polaris arrived yesterday, and I hope to get a 4th soon. I can make a whole bank of Polaris filters for the same price and space requirements of like 1 or 2 of my previous filters (including Cwejman). I ca...

The one that suthnear linked is the most comprehensive one I've seen so far. For 10HP I really don't think much else out there is going to beat this for the amount of functionality it provides. I can't even justify going up 10 more HP just to get the Korgasmatron II. Honestly thinking of replacing m...

I own and have tried Ableton but I couldn't get into it. Good thing I bought it when I was still a student. I've been a long time FL Studio user although I don't use any of the bundled plugins anymore. The piano roll is the key feature for me, Ableton's isn't as productive, even with keyboard shortc...

Scratch that, I just need an intellijel mind meld Keep in mind, that does require some soldering. From the Intellijel website: To add reset functionality to the Vulcan you will be required to solder two wires to the Vulcan PCB. This is the main thing holding me back. I'd like just a slightly wider ...

So I've read a lot about the Vulcan not having a reset input. But does the Cyclotron? Also, forgive me for asking, but what would be so great about a reset? For me it comes down to being able to create a consistent sound. Let's say I have a monophonic bass sound (like a sawtooth) going to a low pas...

Personally I'd like to lay hands on both the Vulcan and Dalek Modulators. There's probably a million modules that can do what they do, but the sci-fi geek inside of me says these are must have modules. All I want is the Vulcan Modulator with reset inputs (that I don't have to do myself by soldering...

Wowa prefers that you ship it to Big City Music and let them handle the back and forth with him. Might take a while, but he does fix things, and it's good to have the man himself do it. :cwejman: Oh awesome, good to know. Does that still apply for Cwejman modules that I didn't buy directly through ...

Has anyone shipped a module from North America to Wowa for repairs? I reached out to him about one channel of my ADSR-VC2 not working and he emailed me back saying "send it to me in a letter, a soft protective envelope". Apparently this is to avoid customs paperwork however I'm hesitant because this...

I had a Piston Honda mk1 and have the Hertz Donut mk1. I sold my Piston Honda to Dcramer who commented above and is getting more use out of it than I am which is good to hear! If I had to ever downscale from 9U to 6U or even 3U, I would be hard pressed to find anything with as much functionality as ...

Woah, thanks for the long response! Interesting, I have similar views about my QMMG. It mainly stays in VCA mode which seems to be the most transparent of all the modes but it's effectively a glorified mixer for the most part. It just colours the sound a lot and the resonance is very dirty indeed. I...

I don't want menu diving or presets but I wish that modules with switches would at least remember what state they were in at power off. The Hertz Donut mk1 always defaults to sine waves on start and the destination button state resets itself too which I find a little annoying but apart from that it'...

Had a quick stab at a snare for the first time this evening. Still need to work out my recording levels and exporting audio properly but this is what I got so far (basic but I'm still chuffed with it as a first attempt). Sound levels are really low, so turn up your volume for this one (full patch no...

The filter is analog - it's the part that keeps people coming back to the C64. The waveforms are just standard. I was under the impression that most Eurorack filters were analog though unless I'm mistaken. Indeed most Eurorack filters are analog. My point was that unlike the waveforms - that are ju...

I think so. From the product page:

All FM inputs are carefully calibrated for 1Volt/octave sensitivity.

I'm still a complete beginner when it comes to FM so I can't actually say for sure.

True, you only have the Rubicon/Dixie/uFold II combo now right? And the Shapeshifter I think last time I looked at your 12U on ModularGrid. That's it. Well, 2 Shapeshifters. I only borrowed the FG as it was an early unit before they were even widely available. I think the guy I borrowed it from sol...

that could work. Maths as Envelope/modulation, clean vca as output. It'd be easiest to use a common MIDI file for the sequence to use with either expert sleepers stuff or a MIDI to CV converter. No one is going to be able to duplicate analog sequences or random stuff. No LPGs as everyone's will be ...
