Re: Buchla goes electroacoustic

Are you using 227e preamp? I've actually never used mine. I need to try that.

If a build for the Rev1 units gets made I would be happy to help test and contribute to the code base.
The bugs for v1 are related to saving correct?

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

Having MIDI on the I2C buss should be easy in that it was already implemented on the 218e. Due to the architecture of the Easel presets are a different story. 200e modules are fly by wire, the pots feed encoders that drive the circuits. Easel pots directly couple to the circuit. The preset would ha...

Re: Buchla Easel Command Module 208C

I agree. It would be a slam dunk if it just simply worked with the 200e bus as the other 200e modules do. Also if it could receive midi over the bus. I imagine there are hardware considerations with that but it seems odd they would redesign the boards and not include that kind of functionality.

I agree I'm interested in the preset management. It sounded like it was going to involve the card slot I believe?

Jim what are you using as far as power setup. Cincon? I have a 30U case (no modules yet and I'm looking at the best method for powering. I'm wonder if perhaps for 30U 2 separate power supplies DC power supplies might be better.

Turntable Recommendations

I'm looking for a turntable for my sister for Christmas. I have a budget of about 400 bucks but that includes the preamp. This is just for casual listening she's no audiophile so something reliable and ideally not huge would be best. Can be used or new. I've perused used brands like Marantz, Dual et...

I have been debating the F24 or 32 as well. It seems the monitoring section is strange from what i've read and you can't use the master inserts through the DAW if I recall.

It would be entirely possible to offer something that all you need to do is bolt in the PS, solder the wires on and go. I think offering a case with power switch, circuit breaker, IEC inlet, all the volt/amp meters, and the choice of whatever output connector you desire that fits within the standar...
