Re: CGS 514 DUSG controls rise/fall CV attenuator reversed? or maybe not?
thank you both for the clarification. I've got it oscillating, pulse dividing and all the other tricks, so it does just seem to be the wiring reversed. I was trying to find info on what the controls "should" be but couldn't actually find anything anywhere so thankyou for the pointer to serge.synth.n...

CGS 514 DUSG controls rise/fall CV attenuator reversed? or maybe not?
Hey all, have recently "finished" my BOG and VV3 panels and whilst everything is pretty much working, I'm just sorting out some of the last bugs and issues (there's going to be quite a few questions I suspect). I've got the DUSG in my build working, and I'm really appreciating how great it is, but I...

Re: Understanding suitable transistor and opamp substitutions
Lots here for me to dig into, so thanks again all. when I started doing DIY electronics it was all guitar stomp boxes, and I spent a bunch of time reading up on germanium vs silicon and the supposed benefits of certain op amps in a tube screamer circuit, so I'm well aware of that side of this. at th...

Re: Understanding suitable transistor and opamp substitutions
thankyou both for your input. I get that it's going to be hard to have cut and dry rules for this, but the info you've given has answered a lot of questions. I think that I'm just going to have to treat the CGS panels as a bit of a laboratory as well and see how some of these subs affect things. tha...

Understanding suitable transistor and opamp substitutions
Hey all, currently in the process of getting back into DIY electronics after a bit of a hiatus and attempting to get back up to speed. I'm trying to understand how I can go about picking suitable transistors and opamps when I'm subbing in and out parts in a circuit, specifically what would I be chec...
