I've been expecting someone to start making a two to one PCB for this purpose. There shouldn't be any reason not to combine two onto one cable. That's all the motherboard does anyway.

Just curious - what are people using the 5C1 for?

Hey Roman - one thing that would be really nice is if the drawing of the wood panels had some sort of scale on it. I had tried printing out someone else's similar drawing, only to find that it was formatted for A4 paper (which doesn't work well here in the states). I eventually gave up trying to man...

?Also I think that you can use 2 h11f1s to do a dual vatrol replacement you just orient the LEDs in different directions so that they capture different polarities right? No - you would want to connect the LEDs in parallel Then you would need to connect one lead of each of the FETS together to...

Hi - I've been trying to get the cycle problem fixed on my quad 281 using the capacitor method that's been discussed, and I decided it was time for something completely different (cue Monty Python music) The panel I am using has space for the Remote control switch, which I don't have, so I decided t...

The really sad thing is that Laurie upgraded the site a few years back. It used to be more primitive looking. BUT - the upgrade seems to have made it harder to use.
Good website design is not easy.

Here's a little thing I did using 2 quants. One is basically being driven by a triangle wave. The other is using the same wave added to a sequencer. Quantize both, and add a glide to one of them.

Lots of options...

You can do some really nice things with quantizers. I use them constantly. Here's an idea for you. Get a multichannel quant, and put a voltage processor in front of it. Run one control voltage into two channels of the processor, and run the outputs of those to the quant. When the CV changes (maybe a...

Hold just freezes the envelope. The window thing is interesting. It's one of those features whose use is not immediately apparent. If you play around with it you can start getting some interesting gate delays and things like that. That's the beauty of Serge - if you sit down and think about a featur...

Basically, no matter what you do, a digital noise source is not really random. It's pseudo-random. There IS a pattern to it, and if you wait long enough, the pattern will repeat. The length of time this takes is based primarily on the length of the shift register in the noise generator. If the desig...

Hi Snaper - This board relies on Vactrols to do most of it's work, so high frequency modulation will not work. That just part of the way the filter behaves.

Ah - I see what you mean. That is pretty odd. I know that the Q pot on this thing is different in that it's supposed to be a pot with a knurled plastic shaft (no knob), but it's not clear what the 'UI' would mean. I think you can just use a regular linear pot for it. BTW - I'm finally getting around...
