I've no idea if it was involved or not but the Maestro PS-1 was released 1971.

Re: Korg PS-3200 + panharmonium (many possibilities for drones)

Thanks!! Yes, the entire PS series has direct microtonality with specific potentiometers for each note. This is also the case for the PE1000; independent oscillators for every note! Not quite as rare or expensive as the PS series and obviously more limited but v similar tech/sound (also another Aph...

Re: where are all the minijack patchbays?

I've just ordered an AI001 passive mult kit from Thonk which I'm going to adapt into eurorack access to an Akai ME35T trigger to MIDI converter. A few passive mults together could be fairly easily adapted into a patch bay, however I would guess you're going to want ones bigger than 2U otherwise it's...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

Again, until it's tested, it's just speculation. I'm really not sure about this one. If you look at the front panel schematic, it looks like the external clock goes to the internal clock and overrides it, which is then being SUMMED or something with the electronic switches A and B outputs, which ou...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

The Electronic Switch is usually governed by the S/H clock which cannot be overridden by an external clock signal. Seems to be the case with the re-issued model as well. Which is truly authentic, I'd say. Stephen No, the S&H clock CAN be overidden, what do you think the 'external clock' input is fo...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

So I've noticed an error in the new manual which is repeated in Korg's /dealers blurb about the 2600FS. It states: ' The electronic Switch can be sync’d to either the 2600’s internal clock or an external clock signal, as can the Sample & Hold rate '. I've tested this on the 2600FS and this isn't the...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

I've no idea what would be considered best practice here but those wires don't look heavy enough to put any significant strain on the connectors. You'd be surprised. Road vibration and shock loads amplify that light load into something problemmatic. Proper support would use P-clamps or similar thro...

Re: Korg Arp 2600 Arrival Date

One thing I am a bit surprised to see is the long wire runs with little or no strain relief, allowing the weight of the wires to pull on the connectors. Not the best practice. I've no idea what would be considered best practice here but those wires don't look heavy enough to put any significant str...
