Re: (dual) gate delay with cv-in for delaytime for humanizing

thanks for the links! I'm using Eowave Swing as a master clock shuffler. Never tried the CV inputs out, but if I wanted to humanize my clock I'd do it by multing the output of my Quadrax' LFV mode - or any attenuated clocked random voltage, really - into all four CV inputs. Edit: I guess if you want...

(dual) gate delay with cv-in for delaytime for humanizing

Hello, for humanizing beats iam looking for a gate delay module that has a cv input for delaytime, so I can feed it with randomvoltage. Or is there even a delaymodule that has a dedicated random section included? Any recommendations? Thanks

Re: Tiptop Audio - Trigger Riot

i cant grasp it. could you please elaborate on that? do you mean 4488 steps length for channel 1 and 532 steps length for channel 2? because you said "muliplied" - i thought the dividers in a row or collumn getting summed to a corresponding channel, no? and what does LCM means? LCM = Least Common M...

Re: Tiptop Audio - Trigger Riot

thanks for getting back! i got some basic questions about the riot: is it possible to set the 8 channels to different lengths? You mean with CYCE? No, but the whole point of the Cycle End is to constrain the patterns. Set it to 0 and all of them are whatever length the dividers multiply out to the L...

Re: Tiptop Audio - Trigger Riot

i got some basic questions about the riot: is it possible to set the 8 channels to different lengths? is there a way to tap-in off-grid (non quantized) steps? and how many steps can be taped in per channel? when loading/changing a preset: is there a way to see one of the 16 knob values (without movi...

I could probably add some loop playback options like palindrome, random and drunk if I get some time for it.
indeed, that would be a nice feature.

Re: polyrhythm/euclidean sequencer with probability

btw. anyone here who compared different euclidean rhythm modules (in terms of interface, flexibility, cv-possibilities and parameters)?
are they all more or less the same or do you have specific preferences due to special features that other modules dont have?

Re: polyrhythm/euclidean sequencer with probability

@ VZvision: thanks for explaining and going into detail. its much clearer now. i will definitelly try this thing and see if an external delay with a random distribution is needed at all ... btw. according to tiptop a new panel version of the trigger riot is comming very soon. @ Estes: thanks for you...

Re: polyrhythm/euclidean sequencer with probability

Since you’re looking for something to do experimental you may want to look at something like the Trigger Riot for the rhythm. Very hands on, and with the speed control combined with cycle start and end saved per preset, you can approach polyrhythmic structures pretty quick. trigger riot seems to be...

Re: polyrhythm/euclidean sequencer with probability

I do like to cheat wonky beats with an unstable clock, like two square lfos into an or module (maths can do that). Use that clock to feed conveniant sequencers or even a zularic repetitor. No menudiving but needs some time to find a sweet spot. i also do this kind of stuff with my compare2 and lfos...

polyrhythm/euclidean sequencer with probability

hello, iam looking for a polyrhythm sequencer with probability. something with not so much menue diving - more hands on. mostly doing experimental/electroacoustic music. form what i found the vg8+ looks like a perfect match. specially its per step delay probability in combination with channel length...

Re: Malekko Varigate 8+

too bad. specially since iam thinking about getting a vg8+ and vb combo. but this is definitely a reason not to go that route.
i already send them questions about the vb/vg and never get an answer. so this was my first impression as well.

How fast can the vb be clocked? Anyone here experimented with clocking at audiorate, so you get a wavetable like behaviour with the vb?

iam curious as well

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

thanks, thats interesting. 1 minute cycle to go from one to another wavetable.
its worth it to try only a little bit of audiorate mod on top of that (added to the 1 minute cycle lfo).

thanks studioutopia, thats very helpful. i had no idea that you can take them off.
scott replied to my request and mentioned that they may switch the type of potentiometers for a better feel.
so they know about it.

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

i dont meant that you are locked to the same wavetable for both vcos when using cv-in´s for xyz of the phmk3 but you will have the very same cv-signal for both vcos... means that you can´t modulate vco1 at different rate than vco2 or with a totally different shape (apart from inverting the shape).

Re: piston honda mk3 vs e352

someone here used other – maybe smaller – knobs than the Davies 1900h on the e352?
of course they look nice, but how much they are smaller than the original e352 knobs? 4 mm?

Re: Piston Honda MKIII dual morphing wavetable oscillator

i think if more people send scott their feedback – regarding the knobs and what you and others described here – than he might consider some hardware changes for future revisions. i even willing to pay more for that. i already send scott my feedback so he knows that at least for me the wiggling of th...
