Wow, just like everyone else here...what a serious shock to wake up to. I haven’t been active on this forum in awhile but muff’s has a seriously place in my heart. I was super young when I joined. This place that mike created completely transformed me as an artist and a general synthesizer nut. I ha...

I shied away from getting a patch bay for many years since my setup always seemed "manageable" But as my setup grew, it got super annoying setting up certain things when I wanted to jam or even mid jam. Now I got a patch bay and I reallllly love it. I can set up everything or change my setup super q...

just wanted to post a little update. Ending up buying a system 100m d-set from a fellow wiggler here, I absolutely love it! I had a few days before I had to ship the sh-5 so I compared their basic sounds, sh-5 has incredibly awesome osc's but again the drawbacks of the sh-5's envelopes and weak modu...

This thread couldn't have better timing for me. I'm in a similar boat and can share my experience. I have a jupiter 4 and a sh-5...absolutely love the jupiter 4 sound and the sh-5. I find the sh-5 envelopes are its biggest draw back for me and the music I make. Very sluggish. Hearing what a super wi...

You should refinish the case ... in green.

thanks for all the great insight!!! the ps-3100 is being restored by a local tech who is good, and my tech that i use is excellent and will most likely give it a go over before the swap if i choose to do so. currently in the studio the obx is beside a p5 rev 3, ppg wave 2.2, jp4/jp6 so maybe the 310...

korg ps-3100

doing some serious thinking and some serious not making music lately which led me down the rabbit hole. not in love with my obx as much anymore and have an option to swap it for a korg ps-3100. not many threads on here, read through them all...not much online really except a few decent youtube video...

Hi!! replaced some j wires and noticed that when the pulse width on every 3rd voice on OSC A is at 50% or higher doesn't sound. any idea's what chip to look for replacement? thought it would be a lm348n op amp but my tech isn't around today and wouldn't mind going out and picking one up and swapping...

I even went out and got its less popular brother the midifx which is like preset delays but has some swee...

midi cc filter box or vst for prophet 5

hi hi hi :) My bud just picked up a rev 3.3 prophet 5 with factory midi (Super late model) and I figured the midi would work exactly like a prophet 5 with a kenton kit but it seems the CPU can't handle modern midi messages? When we try to send it basic note on / note off from ableton it goes crazy a...

This is my processing rack right now, totally different direction but just for posterity: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/179979 I think I'd want more modulation in what you're planning, the way you have it now it's not much more than a glorified and expensive digital multi fx IMO... And I...

I'm building a system with a similar philosophy...I already have some semi modular synths so I decided not to worry about any VCO's or ADSR's (other than maths) at the moment but when I get to the bottom rack eventually I can see myself adding a Rubicon and another maths :) this is my system...don't...

Thanks Clusterchord! It's interesting to hear your experience and thoughts stemming from owning a wave 2 and thinking of buying a wave 2.2/2.3. Personally owning a wave 2.2 and playing it you have that PPG wave sound but in some other form...for example when I listened to your track immediately when...

ppg wave 2 a mythical creature

After finally getting my hands on a ppg wave 2.2 and being totally amazed by it's sound, I found myself obsessing over PPG wave's, mainly the ppg wave 2. I guess it's the fact that I can't find anything about the wave 2 except for a few things and those amazing videos from Kenneth on youtube...I'm c...
