Re: things that would get your Muff license revoked

Synthesizers aren’t real instruments. They’re toys for people who can’t understand the beauty and subtlety of expression one can get from an acoustic instrument.

Electronic music production is an industrial complex.

Re: What's your take on the BEHRINGER MODEL D? Seen a lot for sale recently.

I only sold mine because I got a real mini. But I wouldn’t have parted with it otherwise. The Behringer model d sounds identical in most cases and is fun to play! So cheap. If you don’t need the D sound specifically then maybe check out all their other modules (pro 1, cat, etc) lots of sound to be ...

Re: RE-303 Opinions wanted (now that it has been in the "wild" for a bit.)

Well, Id be very interested in hearing your thoughts since you seem like quite the connoisseur! I have the opportunity to pick one up...don't have one yet. So basically you are saying that I should go ahead and get one since nobody else had responded, and you don't want this thread to die? :despair...

Re: Gotharman's Little deFormer 3

I should make a video of my workflow. Any requests for features to cover when I do? Cool! I’d like to see something about: - audio signal routing using the bus system (and maybe the filter boards) - granular effects - how you approach making a track from scratch (like structuring of parts, tracks, ...

@meska great review of features and good sounds man! I’ve been wanting to set aside time to really dive into some deep sequencing on the LD3 and figured I should make a video of my workflow. Well, Alesis Ion. Since it’s the best synth ever made. Great sound, full featured, easy to work with and a looker too. :sstorm:

Re: If you could only have one...

My Moog Model D Reissue. Before I owned one I used to play one in a live improv act and just vibed with it. I’m always surprised by its range of sound. And it NEVER sounds lame.

Yamaha CS-50 is a close one but i don’t ever want to lug one around again.

Re: New gear from Moog, what would you like to see happen.?

I'm probably going to catch a lot of stick for this because it veers sharply into cork-sniffing territory, but so be it. I want Moog to make gear that sounds "correct" to me. What do I mean by that? Moog gear I've owned or played from the '70s and '80s (Minimoog, Source, Prodigy) had a certain lush...
