Re: RIP Kenny Rogers

Yeah.... this one makes me sad. I remember seeing that vinyl (with The Gambler) at my grandmothers house when I was a kid, she loved that album. It's so weird thinking back, my grandma didn't work, and she pretty much stayed in pajamas all day, laying in bed, listening to music. I didn't know it at ...

Yeah this is really cool. I got to briefly play around on a continuum once, and as much as I'd love to own one, I don't know if one would ever make it into my budgeting. This Osmose is still high for someone like me to justify spending without feeling stupid (non professional, music is a hobby, whic...

I guess I am in the minority but damn, I so love the revised Music app in 10.15. Especially using Dark Mode on the Mac (because I really missed the dark version that was removed from iTunes years back). Paired with Apple Music, I've never been happier with music... constantly finding new albums and ...

I listened to both of them back during that time, was more into Godflesh (since Streetcleaner back @ 1989)..... Godflesh was what lead me into buying my first drum machine in fact... and then it was all downhill from there  Never got a chance to catch Godflesh live though but they are still on ...

These are all really cool.... my update/subscription stopped at 2.4.x so I haven't had a chance to try the Grid out yet. Would love to though, eventually! Just haven't renewed the update yet, because I'm kind of in a stage of not working on any music these days....

Keep these posts coming!

Where to start with Abdul? Circular Forms, Above All Dreams, Works... ? I started with Works, then Circular Forms, then Above All Dreams, and am awaiting delivery of And We Are Passing Through Silently. I think you should start with Works. It is utterly sublime, and one of my desert island discs. O...

I was an early adopter of the DT and returned it (probably didn't give it long enough) but having seen the vid below am thinking of trying again, although it does seem slightly extravagant to use a DT just as a looper I can't think of any other hardware option ? I'm surprised this thread isn't getting any comments... or maybe those using v3.0 are busy making music, and don't want to take a break to talk about it :hihi:

I'm thinking about renewing my plan again, currently stuck on 2.4.2. This looks pretty damn cool to me.

Looks like it doesn't come out until June. Also, it mentions that it is limited to +/-2V range due to the AUDIO 6 being USB powered. So I'm guessing that it might then be good for CV gates, but maybe can't track/scale notes (?).... so one of you modular experts can chime in!

Yeah that's a great score! The score to Kundun is really good too...

I used to play Kundun or his Passages album on the stereo (waaaaay back in the days of people actually having stereo towers LOL) when I was putting kids to bed, it was the bedtime music haha.

I was always intrigued by Robert Rich's large format modular... then back around 2013, I was making really good money with a company here in Nashville and thus had some disposable income and thought that perhaps I should start at small Eurorack system, just for fun (I'm just a hobby musician- I've n...
