Re: What’s sound projection source you using?

Another vote for HS7 here.

(Technically it's the wife's vote, I had a slight preference for the Focal Alpha 65 over the HS7, but we found them fairly similar in sound anyways.)

Re: Stepped CV Sequencer High as gate/trigger?

I presume it'd work, with the only issue being that I'd need gaps between successive steps for a note to trigger again? (could treat the VB as an 8-step sequencer, using the additional steps as gaps). Is it externally clocked? If so, it's probably easier to just use a VCA to multiply/ANDify the VB ...

It adds up. I work in audio production full time. I'm often switching platforms to address needs of different clients in deadline oriented environments so time is often a point of consideration yes. i mean how often are you switching between clients where it can make or break a deadline....are we t...

Oh dear.. You are rattled aren't you :hihi: Again, mentioning in a B thread that B owns Oberheim breaks no rules. You know it, I know it, and Lisa knows it. But if you like unnecessary censorship, then carry on doing what you're doing :tu: It was not a Behringer thread, but a Behringer Swing thread...

Re: Trigger/Drum Sequencers

This is all really good advice, thank you. I realize asking "what should I do with my modular?" on here is a bit like asking a group of people "how should I live my life?" Luckily enough people already taught me that I can't live without a PNW! Is it fair to say this it's still a good idea to have ...

MDMA has been consistently good here in the past few years, doesn’t suffer from being cut up as much as other substances for some reason. Or so I have heard.
As an (until recently) Aachener, I can confirm. Short supply chains mean less cutting, and Limburg supplies half of Europe with MDMA.

Re: What modules for hip hop/rap?

Modbap Per4mer is probably worth a look. I mean, it's not strictly a distortion, but it's FX with bitcrushing capabilities and it's designed with hip hop in mind. Kris (Noise Engineering) has interviewed the guy behind Modbap for the NE blog, by the way. If you're interested in modular hip hop, you ...

Is PL 1U a real option in Europe?

Hi all, the wife has a weird idea for a DIY case. It will be the size of an Intellijel Palette or PulpLogic LBZ54 or something because we're limited by how big a tree trunk I can carry into our 2nd floor apartment. Anyways, there's a lot of reasons to get into 1U for this thing. Now, since the wife ...

If you already have the baseline LI? No. LIP won't be that much better as to justify the hassle of selling off the LI.

But it's the same for the others too. XAOC Tallin. Tallin is a dual VCA with overdrive capabilities. Each of its channels are identical and constructed around a discrete VCA core. The module features a particularly unique voltage control orientation that provides simultaneous exponential and linear...

Re: Mult with CV control over output?

Is there a buffered mult out there with CV control over which output it goes to? My thought is to use this to program drums with a steady pulse of gates going to different modules as they are switched by CV, I can think of a lot of other cool uses beyond this as well. Similarly I'm wondering if the...

Re: VCAs with 2 (or more) CV inputs - discussion

I have not understood your argument against multi-input CVs nor the confusion about what's inside since you first posted it. It's clearly a unity mixer in all that I'm aware of. A-132-8. XAOC Tallin. Verbos Amp&Tone. Can you provide an example of a multi-VCA module which has these undetermined summ...

I took 10V out of a befaco a*b+c and put it on the input. Then took the output and sent it to the 1V/oct input of a VCO.

It's not DC coupled.
What behaviour do you expect from this patch assuming a DC-coupled VCA, and what behaviour have you observed?

adjusted! Interested how you get away with that. A swung clock is not a stable clock by its nature and my sequencers seem to want something steady. I just don't buy sequencers which expect a steady clock  it helps if you're not a big fan of functionality monster type sequencers (Eloquencer...

Both will provide the same results Actually, no. Your approach will give you an LFO multiplied with an envelope, while @kwaidan's approach gives them an LFO offset and added to an envelope. For instance, with a bipolar sine LFO your approach will sound like a constant-time stutter effect of sorts, ...

Re: Intellijel Quad VCA or Behringer 130 Dual VCA (x2)?

I just started a thread in the general room about VCAs with more than 1 CV in, with some good insight from folks on how they can be used for those who don't quite get VCAs. I find it super interesting that the 1-CV-input VCA has become a standard in Eurorack these days, even though a lot of classic...

Re: VCAs with 2 (or more) CV inputs - discussion

My problem with the idea of a multi-CV VCA is that it's unclear whether the CV inputs are summed or applied one after another. (Then again, I'm way too young to care about the classics and secretly think that the A in VCA stands for "attenuator". Also, the Behringer 902's panel design is completely...

Looks interesting. And you can mix up to 3 signals per "channel" on the Behringer. There are 3 mod inputs, do they modulate each input individually or are they summed together and then modulate the single VCA for all 3 inputs? Behringer's manuals suck.. they miss so many important information. Is i...
