Re: Can anyone share a V2164 / similar LTSpice model?
Hey devinw1, there was a thread about the ssm2164 Spice Model, here on MW, called "Spice model for ssm2164?" (https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=155122) , which I believe is nearly the same chip. I didn't use it, as the datasheet is straight forward and I just breadboarded it and it w...

Re: DIY Real Spring Reverb Pedal?
I did try to cram a spring reverb in a pedal format. I was inspired by the Spaceman Effects Orion. I put a lot of time and effort in it, and it worked on breadboard (though I can't remember if it was noisy or not). I join a schematic in pdf format. I did make a pcb, at that time I printed the pcb my...

Re: Understanding suitable transistor and opamp substitutions
Most Dual and Quad Opams are interchangeable considering their pinouts. But some are better for certain applications than others. I mainly use 2 types TL072 and NE4558. Mainly NE4558 for breadboarding, because they are cheap, reliable and suitable for most purposes and if I destroy one it isn't that...

Re: Tutorial for moving from DIY PCBs to commercial PCBs for first time
Thanks all, that's very helpful On a two layer board can I solder to either side or do I need to make special provisions for that? It's a 'hat' for a Raspberry PI project. So the 40 way connector for the PI will be soldered to the underside of the board whereas other components will be soldered on ...

If you are using eagle, you might check out Autodesk's own Tutorials : https://www.autodesk.com/products/eagle/blog/pcb-layout-basics-component-placement/ , but you will easily find additional more complete tutorials. If you don't know how to do something just type in "<your issue > on Eagle" on Goo...
