Coyote 346 here I have peace’s and reconstructions of all of Gysin, Somerville, Burroughs , and genesis p orridge said work from the 60’s to past the gray room into later TOPY work. They had a foundational understanding of the reach of the cut up -mushroom calligraphy- audio permutation, the dream ...

Re: Artists that mix electronic + acoustic instruments?

Here's a recent album by me and Adam Cadell. It's a live improvisation where I'm processing his violin through Serge: <iframe style="border: 0; width: 100%; height: 42px;" src="https://bandcamp.com/EmbeddedPlayer/album=31098787/size=small/bgcol=ffffff/linkcol=0687f5/transparent=true/" seamless><a hr...

Yeah man, we were indeed drinking Schneider Aventinus (& Weisse)..!
Well that explains why the album sounds good to me, doesn’t it?

Re: Warnian (new album full of Serge & Violin drones)

I'll take the Tony Conrad comparison, thanks very much! (although it would actually be owed to Adam, I'm just the crusty mutant kraut dub 'producer') :miley:

Re: Warnian (new album full of Serge & Violin drones)

Hey thanks! That recording was done in one sitting around midnight at my flat on a Monday when Adam was leaving for Belgium early on next morning. We just started playing and I hit record immediately. There was a looper in totally wrong place considering the chain, I used a Yamaha E1005 in place of ...

Warnian (new album full of Serge & Violin drones)

Blatant self promo, yeah. But should someone be nevertheless interested.. A project by me and my friend, the dissident drone violinist extraordinaire, Adam Cadell. Recorded and improvised live in one take. Released on Magma Tones as a limited edition handmade cd/r/download: https://magmatones.bandca...

We bought a Future Retro 512 for our Synthi but was disappointed with the build quality - also the colour scheme is truly horrendous - I mean come on... purple and yellow? ugh! We sent it straight back. Currently using a Lifeforms KB-1 mounted in a low profile 4MS POD 60 case - via a Digitana Synth...

I'll second Günter Schickert (a personal hero!), 'Samtvogel', the aforementioned 'Ûberfällig' and 'Kinder In Der Wildnis' are excellent albums! And make Manuel Göttsching's 'Inventions For Electric Guitar' pale in comparison (though it's not entirely out of merit, i'm also huge Ash Ra Tempel/Manuel ...

Just read this on Wikipedia, not so sure Nico was a very good judge of what is listenable: Nico disliked the strings addition and called the whole album "unlistenable" as a result.[3] But Pitchfork said that nevertheless, the "ineffable sadness" and "grandeur of her melancholy" came through.[3] Yea...

[...] Didn't Schulze sell his Modular to Pete Kuhlmann (Namlook), Then Pete had it sold on ebay. In fact, it was never sold to Kuhlmann, it was kindly loaned to him (along with the Waldorf Wave and the GDS) for an indefinite period of time which ended in the early 2000s.
