Paying for one just means YOU'LL GET ONE It doesn't though? What if dude goes bankrupt or dies or spends it all on cocaine or otherwise defrauds everyone? This shit happens all the time with group buys. Smug hand-waiving doesn't change that people do sometimes wait years and end up with nothing. Bu...

Re: Your Favorite Intellijel 1U modules

More Quadratt posting: Since last posting I got another 1U row and added a 3rd Quadratt, about to order a 4th. Keep looking at what is available and it is just too useful. I've taken to having each of them semi-dedicated to a single module. * Odessa: half for mixing the outputs, half for attenuating...

Re: Quad+ VCA, but fun?

Happy Nerding 3xVCA is hard to beat for that size, bipolar, mixing. Also the Dual XFade is underrated as a dual VCA in 4HP with optional linked stereo operation.

For spicier options, that new Vertex Stereo VCA from WORNG looks fun.

I do think it would benefit from a quantizer, especially with the random combos. Once I pick up a quad quantizer and more oscillators I'll be able to unlock some cool polyphonic options.
Mine is next to o_C for quantizing, great combo.

Re: How do you use your Eurorack?

Meditation tool, make cool noises and relax. Occasionally I will make a multi-part composition that goes somewhere and record a live take. Kinda into the ephemeral right now though, just patching for that moment and not stressing about accomplishing anything. Hope to do live noise performances again...

Some people have speculated further back that "wear" in this case would just be oxidation and that using them or not is irrelevant.

Re: Xaoc Zadar, Quadruple Envelope Generator + Nin expander

I just bought a Zadar. Despite having read of potential encoder issues, I'm satisfied that the support is there to deal with any problems I may have - the manufacturer has already said in this thread, that they will replace any warranty failures. Unfortunately the warranty is only a year, which is ...

Re: Expert Sleepers FH-2 'factotum'

PS - in thinking about this all day at work (:)), I believe the answer may be in sending a gate on signal from PNW to the Y input of the FH-2. However, no matter how many times I read the FH-2 manual, or how many different setting combinations I try on the FH-2, I can't seem to get this to work rig...

Re: Instrou Troika or 3x TS-L

Troika gets you: normal'd v/oct, mixed out, fewer powers, fair bit cheaper TS-L gets you: waveform outs, more waveshaping, exp FM, sub, fewer HP You could add a buffered mult and mixer and still be in at less HP than the Troika. But that's 5 powers and twice the price. TS-L sounds more fun to me if ...

My only transistor ladder filter is the Happy Nerding MMM which might not drop bass but drops so much volume when you turn up the resonance that I'm probably gonna get rid of it.

Re: Panning and cross-fading

Happy Nerding Dual Xfade is a good / cheap / compact crossfader. It's linear, and while it's my understanding that you usually want equal power for panning audio, I've used it for panning too.

Re: 1010 Music Bitbox - Sampler/Looper

Just curious if people are getting better results from recording samples directly in to the BB or transfer via micro SD? If you like unwanted clicks and pops you'll enjoy recording directly in the unit itself. Are people generally not able to import samples from the SD card? Seems like that would b...

How are people using their outputs? Are you mixing the root+odds+evens? Or just using one output depending on the texture you need? Some tips from earlier in the thread: * Remember that the root is included in the odd and evens, the root output is more of a convenience for tuning and syncing other ...

Hey, Did you get this fixed. Mine seems the same after going through the YT video tutorial. I don't get feedback as easily as it looks like I should. Are there trimmers for record level? Re: Tree by Mystic Circuits

Seemed like most of the time it starts on the last step (last being step 8, not the last it was at poweroff) but it would also randomly initialize to 4 or 5 a lot of the time too.

That would be my pet feature request. Put me down for a new back board when they come out!

Re: Tree by Mystic Circuits

Is there any rhyme or reason to which step it starts up on? Trying it now it seems like it's random.

Really wish it initialized to the first step because I more frequently use it with the addressing and always have to send a gate to RST first before doing anything.

Re: Noise Engineering Mimetic Digitalis

Does the MD provide any visual information or feedback about the amount of voltage at any step, especially while you’re adjusting the levels? E.g., the brightness of the output LEDs? Or do you have to listen to the direct result and then dial up or down to taste? On a classic knob-based sequencer, ...
