I thought the maze was way more intuitive, though it does have a numerical readout. The main thing
I found out about it is that you need to find the separate settings manual on the livestock site. Having
both modules is pretty cool imo, as you can matrix the hell out of stuff.
It's not that hard, for me it was a bit frustrating being forced to learn it though. I should have
been more conscious of the fact that I would have to make some effort, in the end it's not even
an issue. The UI is a bit experimental, keep that in mind going in to limit any frustrations maybe.
I will probably make a large case at some point to consolidate, in the meantime, I just mounted them all together up on my wall. I prefer the vertical orientation personally, and it makes it harder for them to collect dust as it can't find purchase. Very similar to the bookcase idea earlier in the t...
Hi there, I'm having trouble following the instructions to check the firmware version once it's updated, though I'm sure it updated successfully because it's functional. I've copied and pasted the instructions from the readme below. Where do I find A, G, and X? -Go to GBL page and press C/ Amber bu...
I don't know, I just got one of these in the mail today and am having difficulty seeing it as being anything other than pretty cool and useful. Certainly on-board, per output attenuation would be nice, for me though, it's hardly an issue. I've only felt the need to attenuate the signal once so far a...
I was thinking of getting one, then I got the Flux Sequencer and don't especially want the PNW anymore.
I may still get a Tempi, for my Rene 2 mostly, though the PNW was winning out over it for me, prior to the Flux.
I only have the one BB, though I do have the Toolbox, don't get me started about that one, heh.
TBH I predict within 2 years, 1010 will leave the eurorack market behind for the desktop market.
Personally, I never liked the FXBox, most of my presets for it only use 1 or 2 effects. Still it's a nice option to have
available. The 1010 modules themselves are mostly fine, it's the dev that I'm not overly fond of. *shrug
I kept my v1 Bitbox when I bought the v2. I have dedicated the v1 to Synthbox firmware. With that, I tried the FXBox firmware and was not that impressed. Thinking I might use the Synthbox firmware when I am not using it as a Bitbox...to the extent that I have been collecting Serum presets (I am not...
My policy is not to sell at all. Though, if I really didn't want something, I would probably give it away to a friend. *shrug Which is my M.O. I've given away a few guitars and electronics already. I have also been the recipient of some pretty cool stuff, so Karma might actually work pretty well. Al...
I've done that a couple times, only during regular sales though, where they apply the discount to your entire order rather than individually. Pretty sure it worked out to my favor, but you will lose money in shipping and gain risk for that, because there is far more value weighed against the measly...

This is the best way to use the Bitbox imho, as a Synthbox. Assuming you have an alternate sampler.
It's great if you have serum as well, since you can use it's wavetables directly or create them.
*Serum's wavetables are way better than the stock ones included with the synthbox imho.
Heh, I like chisels and hand tools, I did say it would take me a while to do something like that. Which is why
I don't do it for money. Lotta times I will hand mill my own boards even. I blame youtube and traditional japanese
joinery for that.
Joinery is not sooo hard, as long as your chisels are sharp, you are artistic and interested in the medium imho. I know a bunch of amateurs, including myself who could take a good stab at the case in the OP. Still, good craftmanship is well worth the money. Personally, I would enjoy that part too mu...
hoping for something like 700 euro without psu depending on wood type That's a fair amount for a wooden box, I would think you should be able to find someone willing to match the quality of the work in the pic for that much. Much of the cost is in the finishing work, edge rounding, oiling etc. whic...
