Re: What would you use to complete/modify this 4U 104hp rack?

Suggestion for future generations : keep your original MG unchanged and create news ones as need be. The first replies here refer to something that has changed along the way and I couldn't understand what they were refering to... and I now don't want to make the effort. :despair:

Re: plz bless me w/ ur wisdom veteran wigglers (build critique)

I'm wondering about the PNW, as you're clocking from the Mother. PNW can be great as a modulation source, but maybe you'd be better off finding something more specific for modulation if you're not intent on using PNW as master clock (and there's the question of menu-diving, which is admitedly limite...

This looks exactly like the sequencer I've always wanted. Will it always be available just through your website or are you in talks with dealers for distribution?
He told me it would be available through modularsquare in France (referenced in the OP). Don't know of any other plans...

Re: Opinions on the best semi modular to start out with.

Ha-ha ! My reply there was one of my first posts, and it seems so long ago (with some mistakes as well...). What sold me out on the M2S at the time was the sequencer and, basically, it's the only thing making me hold on to that M2S, and then only because I think I should get more mileage out o...

Re: Behringer Neutron Alternative Panel [POLL]

I don't have a neutron and possibly never will have, but I looked at your panel and I had a strong reaction to the black rectangle on the right (the outputs). It almost looks like a separate module/expander and I was going "what the heck"... How about something less "obtrusive" ? Like black just aro...

Re: Question about clock modules

If you don't need a precise bpm and play it by ear, then a square lfo can act as a clock, and then you divide-or-multiply-or-whatever-it as you need (do I hear "utilities" ?).
And I've also had a lot of fun with a not-so-square lfo... :hihi:

I pity the fool who has never heard of the Z-DSP. I pity the fool who doesn't pity the fool. And I mean that most sincerely folks, I really do. I really do. (At 100+ posts I've heard/read about the Z-DSP and, no, it doesn't ring the immediate bell. I'm sorry that I don't remember all the acronyms/m...

Re: Are Powered Cases Too Expensive?

There is a lot of good discussion here. I've been asked to look into eurorack skiff manufacturing several times (this kind of small-run manufacturing is very similar to what I do in another industry.) Here's the train of thought (and I did this on a spreadsheet with much greater detail) Thank you s...

Hehe, well. I'm leaving it open-ended mainly because I'm not really expecting anybody to pinpoint exactly what I should get. I can do research myself. The point of this thread is more to get some subjective suggestions. I'd love it if more folks added an explanation to their suggestions, though. Ju...

Re: What's a suitable used price for modules?

So you would buy a disting in France to avoid shipping and additional taxes? Distings can be bought from EU retailers, so yes, I'd buy a Disting from a EU retailer to be sure avoid custom fees. Shipment per se is rarely an issue, except when people (sellers or merchant web-sites) decide to inflate ...

Why is it so impossible to talk only about eurorack sequencer in a eurorack thread ??? Because the title of the thread is 'How did you pick your sequencer?', I think it's valid to mention non-eurorack sequencers if that illustrates 'How did you pick your sequencer?'... take for example this CGS ASR.
For me, in France, this one is listed at €54,11 with €35,01 shipment !
Many things I would have liked to buy, but shipment just makes it unreasonable, notwithstanding the potential custom fees... :foul:

Hey, that's an interesting selection of modules ! Not often that people target Rebel Tech modules first time round... (Great modules, btw.) :tu:
I also like music which evolves changes over time.
I would say that calls for some NLC modules such as Triple Sloth.

Have fun !

Re: DROID Universal CV processor

I think I understand the aim of setting up relatively permanent functions (the 'one-program' sd card restrains flexibility). Your example of setting up connections between distant racks made perfect sense (a kind of ah-ah moment) and now count me potentially interested. In the end, I think the price...
