Re: Expert Sleepers Disting Mk4

Can anyone get the SD card delays to work without glitching? I am still having trouble. Tried multiple cards of different speeds, one was 100MB/s. Works here, I've let it run for about 15mins, no glitches (I'm using a Kingston 32GB Micro SDHC, only tested K-6 though, not K-7 or 8, which one are you...

Re: Changing speed without changing pitch

I've never been able to get Morphagene's time stretch to work, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've got a clock coming into the clock input. I've got the morph control set to 11 o'clock so that the window thing on the left goes blue. But nothing happens when I change the clock speed. Is ther...

Re: Switch channels by voltage value module?

Hi! Is there a module that can switch outputs from a voltage value? E.g.: output to channel 1 if the voltage is under x volt, channel 2 if between x and y volts, channel 3 if between y and z, etc., where x, y, z, etc, values could be set by a pot? An control cv in, an audio/cv in/out and 4 to 8 out...

Re: Alternatives to the Verbos Harmonic Oscillator

If you are going to use stages harmonic oscillator. I would recommend installing the alternative firmware. It will allow you to switch into harmonic oscillator mode with a few button presses vs. messing with the jumpers. https://github.com/joeSeggiola/eurorack/blob/stages-multi/stages/README.md#rea...

Re: Best module combinations of different designers

Great thread. As mentioned, Rene 2 and Marbles just makes so much sense. Also Piston Honda 3 into a(ny) dual low pass gate and Varigate 8 and confundo funkitus. What do you love about the Rene & marbles combo @illiac - I’ve just got a Rene and the only way I can currently see how to get marbles run...

Re: Picking out my third sequencer.

Rene 2 is great-- it's very easy to program 2 independent channels of CV and gate (they can use different clocks and addressing, so it's really like a completely separate sequencer), plus the correlated cartesian outputs. And all of that can be built into more elaborate sequences by setting up stat...

Re: Mutable Instruments Stages

Apologies if this has been covered already, this is a long thread and I thought I’d just ask: Can one independent segment be used as a slew limiter? From the manual it sounds like you can if you use the step mode and leave the gate unpatched. But with gate unpatched how does the module know it’s an...

Re: What is the most interesting sound you've sampled into Morphagene?

For interesting results, I love sampling acoustic instruments / physical modelling sounds into Morphagene. I don’t own or can’t play an acoustic instrument unfortunately, but with things like YouTube etc… these kind of sounds aren’t hard to find :hihi: I especially like the results of sampling water...

Re: Digital Analog Kicks

Lately, I've been using my Dfam like the BD of an Elektron Analog Rytm. Meaning, triggering the analog kick from the DFAM while simultaneously running a sampled kick into it's external input. The result is a very satisfying and versatile kick drum. Only thing is, I realize I'm only using the DFAM i...

Re: Mutable Instruments Stages

I think you simultaneously long press the buttons for two green segments, they will start alternately flashing if you’ve done it correctly. I did not get this one. Only 2 free running LFO or a long press on both green buttons as no effect at all on the module. Anyway, problem solved ! Thanks again ...

Ciao tutti, As some of you are huge nerds with this lovely module, here I am with a nooby question : How can I self-patch Stages to get a looping AD, with the retrigger being defined by the End of Decay ? Better to find out by myself, still worth it to ask for. Cheers, Ciao! You can set this up wit...

i hate modules with personality quirks because i want to patch the quirk myself :hihi: +1 on this. Having modules (or synths in general) with quirks / 'faults' is something I find frustrating most of the time. :bang: That being said, I would love to hear examples of modules where you can actually e...

Re: Mutable Instruments Stages

would it be possible to have an option where the LFO's are bipolar? It should be technically possible, since in the harmonic oscillator mode outputs go below zero. I also used Stages as a VCO, in my case I was using some offset module (Maths, 3xMIA) to center it around zero or, better, I chose to u...

Re: Mutable Instruments Stages

this is amazing, thank you! are you (or anyone else reading here) open for further suggestions/ideas? i'd be interested in a mode inspired by instruo ochd. 6 free running lfo's with ascending, loosely related loop times. should work nicely with the stages UI i guess? You can achieve something very ...

Re: MakeNoise Morphagene

Sorry for the n00b question--I am sure this is buried somewhere on the thread. But if I'm playing bass or guitar into the MG, is it a 2-step process to record something and then auto-level, or is there a way to do that hands-free? Or is auto-levelling unnecessary if I have a good hot signal in? You...

Re: Mutable Instruments Stages

I worked further on my modified firmware for Stages. Now both slower LFOs and harmonic oscillator are togglable at runtime. Also, there are two new "modes", one that enables harmonic ratios sequencing via external CV, and one that transforms the module into six identical DAHDSR envelope generators ...

Ts-L, Hertz Donut mkIII and Pittsburgh Primary Oscillator.
At the moment I'm wanting the three of them but not sure if they overlap too much sound-wise.
The Ts-L is on my radar too, but seems like it's out of stock pretty much everywhere I looked in Europe.
Anyone know any shops that have it?

Re: Single Manufacturer Eurorack Systems

There's a certain beauty to a system from a single manufacturer and I can understand some people prefer this because it feels more like a cohesive instrument, but at the same time I find this very limiting, considering there are almost 7500 modules listed on modular grid, why limit yourself to 50 (b...

Interesting!
There's a lot I like about this 'upgrade' (OLED screen, lower latency, higher sample rate) but 229mA on the +12v rail seems pretty high for an 8HP module.
