Re: Your fav Bug configurations
absolutely going to try that dueling feedback patch! Lately I've been enjoying pairing the joystick with everything; probably will make an effort to try various combinations just for the fun of it. I set up a patch the other day which I'll probably build on more, but the main nexus was the joystick ...

Re: A somewhat selfish list of things I'd like to see Tom make
One thing that I’ve been daydreaming about lately is a BugBrand Red audio mixer with 1/4” i/o, an effect send/return per channel, and VC panning. That would be amazing. I was gonna come on here and say how that's a cool idea but not necessarily practical considering external mixers can be had for r...

Re: polyphony / 2 synth voices?
I've always favored the two synth voice approach, partly because I only have a SynthVoice and with some Reds and also partly because I use my Octatrack for midi->cv and I use the CV.OCD which generates two pitch/gate signals very easily. From there it's just traditional routing into Filters and VCAs...

Re: 16FW Frames (still proto for now)
I've been contemplating what to do with the 3 and 5FW cases I have, and at the moment I'm leaning towards selling them (to go towards funding another 11FW row hehe). I doubt you want to wade into this territory, but it would be great to somehow be able to connect a 3 & 5 FW and have a little standal...

Re: Advice on getting into BugBrand
can't recommend Bugs enough. adding some into your current setup sounds like it would offer you a really wide range of tonal and modulation options. To echo arnoux, I would keep the Compact VCO's, they're brilliant. And they function really well as LFO's also. But if possible, swapping in a Quadratu...

Re: 16FW Frames (still proto for now)
very nice! and very tempting! I've all but committed to the 11FW frame as it easily fits into rack cases, but if I was starting a system now I would seriously consider these. Something about the extra length feels very ergonomic and playable. And I agree with hollundkurve, these would be great for a...

Re: Live set (video) with 2 frame system
Another live set, this time streamed from home. This set has 4 parts, all Bugbrand in the dub-y middleish part. Going on record as putting my money on Chirper being the best "dub-siren" around. 0:00 - 7:30 : melodic sequence from Waldorf Nave app, through PTDelay 7:30 - 9:35 : contact mic'd metallic...

Alva Noto live video
Really nice live set from Alva Noto just posted with a great view of his setup. Synthi obviously, but anyone recognize the other pieces he's using? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dHYO-L4jhe8 edit: Guess I should have just waited till the end when everything is listed   "Kabbalistic Synthe...

5FW Touch sounds lovely!
I second BananaPlug's ideas, especially like the idea of toggle switch A/B bus outputs.

Re: "Final stage" shaping/saturation/compression for synth noise
Bugbrand Stereo Compress seems like a good option for this Concur, but I think I got the last one two years ago. Still not showing in stock on his site. Maybe second hand... I believe Tom mentioned a little while ago that some more would be available but everything is on hold at the moment (shop is...

It ties things together in interesting ways, increasing cause/effect relationships in the sounds. excellent track! I'm also loving the cause/effect dynamic it presents. It's quickly become the glue that ties my whole rack together, with varying levels of complexity depending on the mood I'm in. one...

Re: Where are the Benjolins?
You need to power cycle them a few times for them to work in Doepfer cases....but in other cases with bricks - they work fine, every time. If you don't use Doepfer - don't even worry about it - it's not even an issue. I wouldn't say that. I had a 4MS Row 40 and the Epoch version did NOT like it. Se...
