Re: Squarp Rample vs Tiptop Audio One

I'm curious if anyone would recommend the 2hp Play? At $149 USD and only 2hp it seems like a good option for smaller systems or users that just want a simple way of playing back looping or one shot samples as well as transposing them 1v/oct.

Sounds like the calibration is off on tracks 1 and 2. There’s a section in the manual about calibration.
That fixed it! thank you very much! :hail:

Now to figure out why triggers are not all being recorded and I should be go to go :hihi:

Re: Nerdseq w/MIDI expander to CV pitch is off w/analog VCOs

Quick update: what happens if you connect track 1 and 2 CV outs to NE VCOs, do they still track perfectly? I switched it up and if I patch the NE VCOs to nerdseq tracks 1 and 2, they in fact do not pick perfectly and display the same issue the analog VCOs have when patched to either of these tracks....

Re: Nerdseq w/MIDI expander to CV pitch is off w/analog VCOs

I suspect the power supply to the nerdseq -- does yours supply 5v in addition to the 12v? I first put my nerdseq in a skiff that lacked the 5v rail, and was confused -- the menu amd screen seemed fine, but the cv outs were wonky. Try a different case and PS if you can. Good luck! I’m using an Artur...

Good idea, I’ll try that and see what happens. Up until now I’ve been switching MIDI ch on the Keystep to test.

Nerdseq w/MIDI expander to CV pitch is off w/analog VCOs

Here's my setup: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/737612 Case: Arturia Rackbrute 6u I'm using an Arturia Keystep to send MIDI out into the Nerdseq IO expander's MIDI in. I'm having an issue with both of my analog VCOs(Rat King Modular Tone and Doepfer uPrecision VCO). The Doepfer uP VCO's 1v...

Looking for a Music Thing Modular Turing Machine Mk 2 DIY Kit

I live in the USA and I'm looking at building a Music Thing Modular Turing Machine Mk2 but it appears all of the stores in the USA(that I know about) are out of stock on this kit. Thonk seems to have them in stock and a quick euros to dollar conversion estimates the price(including shipping) at $103...

Re: Does the Disting Mk 4 have a persistent global MIDI clock?

The MIDI clock only runs in G-6. I would mention the FH-2 here, which can be a clock master and generate clock divisions, and is a MIDI/CV converter. So it could replace everything you're talking about. It could also simply provide the MIDI clock you're looking for. Thanks for the reply. Holy cow I...

Does the Disting Mk 4 have a persistent global MIDI clock?

I'm looking at various modules that can output a MIDI clock that I would like to use to drive another module, a MIDI to CV module so that the second module can be used as a clock divider. I read in the Mk 4 manual that there are global MIDI settings for channels and enabling MIDI thru, but I'd like ...

Modules that can send the Mutant Brain a MIDI clock?

I have a Mutant Brain in my rack that I use along with a Novation Circuit and Arturia Keystep for sequencing and performing but there are times when I want to use my modular synth without any external MIDI gear so I am trying to find a simple, small module that can either convert a clock pulse to MI...

Re: What do you feed your BIA, especially after midnight?

Like others have said - Mimetic Digitalis - match made in heaven(or hell), so much fun. The BIA is my primary drum module but you can coax some amazing bass lines out of it as well and when heavily modulated, it can be an entire rhythm section. Lately I have been using the dual shift register algori...

I like to imagine small systems. If I had an extra $3,000 lying around, I might build this one. The META can be a Drum, Wavetable VCO, LFO, EG, or Sequence generator, all with included VCA. https://www.muffwiggler.com/forum/userpix2/1679_smallversatilerack_1.jpg That looks like a fun little machine.

I hate to state the obvious but have you thought about replacing the second Maths with a Make Noise Function? It's more or less a stand alone version of Maths Ch 1 and will save you 12 hp.

Intellijel or PulpLogic 1U? You should decide this before buying rail bra ckets, assuming you plan to work with brackets. Edit about your questions: 1. A laptop brick within the case will likely be overkill, and I'd guess it's also too hot. The easiest solution is to use a power module, for all of ...

Has anyone tried using a Mah Jongg case for a eurorack build?

I'm finding several options that may work for a smaller build(6u 104 hp) measuring approximately(in inches): 23. x 10.5 x 5.25.

this seems doable with a power module instead of a power supply/distribution board options. Thoughts?

Mimetic Digitalis will have more features obviously but will also be more work to create melodic sequences since it lacks a quantizer. It's really great for modulation sequencing and a really nice live CV looper. Like others have recommend, the Vox Digitalis is going to supply you what your's lookin...

I heard from Stephen at 2hp and he suggested that my issue was power loss related.
