Pelang -- can you provide a bit more detail on how you do this? It sounds fascinating, but I don't quite understand what you're doing or how it works.

Seems I'm late to the party. But for my two cents, I have two clear favorites this year.

4MS SWN. Surprised nobody has called it out in this thread. I love the damn thing.)

...and...

WORNG Soundstage. So simple yet it just works -- makes every mix magic.

mdoudoroff -- that second track, "neo-Riemannian Study," is absolutely lovely. Reminded me a bit of Roedelius' Self-Portrait tracks.

I always start with the C channel, and once I have something I like going on there, the other ones fall into place around it. It seems so obvious, but in all the time I've been using Rene, I've never thought to start with the C channel. Duh. Thanks for the tip, Walker! I'm going to give it a go ton...

Found this demo video.

Looks really interesting. I particularly like the way it randomizes the rhythm... you simply set the probability of different standard time values (e.g., 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, etc.)

Very cool.

The Morphagene can definitely do Seefeel. (Love the reference!) It seems like a headfuck at first — and the key combinations don’t help — but once you start playing with it, it’s exceptionally playable. The interface is surprisingly elegant once you get the feel. Good luck — and if you’re looking fo...

Wow, @Umcorps, that was absolutely gorgeous.

Thanks for sharing! Did you use Marbles in that patch too? If so, how?

Wow!

This module is absolutely gorgeous. I can't say enough. Six separate voices that can all be assigned different wave tables -- or spheres... or 3-toruses -- and/or different segments of the table. And each voice has it's own LFO/envelope that you can self-patch, feed into an internal VCO or assign to...

Just picked one up this past weekend. It's a great case -- not just for starters. Solidly built. Good Make Noise bus board and power supply (if you pick up the powered version). And you can't beat the price! Plus, I love Control.

Highly recommended.

Terminal in Memory

Answers: 2. Do the memory slots save the terminal setting as well? (Mind officially blown if so eek! ) This is configurable. You can have terminal outputs included in your memory slots or not. I've pored over the manual -- but I haven't seen any mention of how to configure the memory so it can reca...

Thanks cptnal! In the past, I would just feed it tons of modulation, typically from MI Marbles or Just Friends, and sit back to watch. (Or listen!) The results were always interesting, but I didn't necessarily understand what was going on. Since the New Year, I've been trying to use the Mo...

The Morphagene can be a tough beast to control -- but god it's fun when it all clicks. I've played with various granular samplers in software, but nothing compares to the Morphagene's hands-on ability to jump between different time scales. In these two pieces, I take a snippet from Dionne Warwick's ...

I have all three. And love them all. If you’re looking for a voice, pure and simple, Mangrove is definitely the way to go. It’s weird and finicky. But it produces the most wonderful brass and bass sounds when you tune it in right. It’s capable of surprisingly realistic, organic timbres — as well as ...

How does Math's help you derive a sequence? Are you suggesting using Maths as an inverted envelope follower -- o...

Have you seen this, nolongerhuman? Looks like Noise Engineering has adapted three of their modules to work in Reason. And they're apparently developing stand-alone VST versions too. https://www.instagram.com/p/BiW96VuFCmm/?utm_source=ig_embed Not a stand-alone synth -- but might serve your purposes?
