Outside of the rack an Elektron A4 mk1 or Analog Keys are pretty solid purchases. 4 configurable outs (cv/gate/clock etc), ton of sequencer memory, spacious Ui, trig conditions, arpeggiator, send euro through the fx/filter/drive etc + you get a 4 voice/channel analog synth/sequencer that’s easy sync...

Not cheap? $29 to $100 per module. Also, in the Sonic State video they mention the 400 Series first run is already built and sold out in one day. So I expect those deliveries to happen within the four weeks. The 400 is £470. Compared module to module with something like neutron or plankton ants it’...

Inspired design from an aesthetic POV. But in terms of functions it’s about as bland as they come. Not especially cheap either considering alternatives in this kind of area like neutron, plankton ants and so on. Pass...

Morphagene > Rings + modulation from Voltage Block/Maths/Marbles kicks out some really nice, non-obvious, drones. Not very cheap though if you don’t have any of those in your rig to begin with.

Really digging Forbidden Planet filter too. Cheapish and sounds very ‘Sci-fi’ for droney stuff.

For me it's the humble sample and hold. As others have noted pure random rarely sounds musical, so it needs to be constrained in some way. When you buy a random module those constraints are decided (to an extent) by the manufacturer, not the wiggler. In random, as with most things in modular, if yo...

Re: Rackbrute Hum and Hiss

Hi, switched from my old case to a Rackbrute. Now I got some annoying hiss and hum when I connect the output module. It's the same configuration as in the old case where I got none of the hiss and hum. It must be the Rackbrute power supply as it's also there with just the output module connected, e...

Behringer Adat handle Euro levels?

Snapped the power switch off my focusrite Octopre. Looking at the behringer adat to pair with my focusrite Pro 40 so I have enough channels to pipe separate Euro channels in to desktop (my pro 40 channels are already being used). Anyone have any experience with it? The price is right....

Thanks

Likely a power supply problem. Thanks for reply. I’m using a rackbrute 6u which has the following power - 1600mA +12V output, 1600mA -12V output and 900mA +5V My modules total power suck is - 1049 mA +12V | 358 mA -12V | 0 mA 5V | On paper it looks like I should have plenty of power breathing space...

I suspect there could be tiny noisy voltage spikes on Marbles' output – high enough to exceed the triggering threshold of the Volca. And attenuating the signal makes them impotent. Where is the Veils thread? There's a contact form on the Mutable Instruments site, and a Mutable Instruments forum. I ...

Are you sure it's not a grounding problem? Patching the Volca Sample to your system increasing the noise floor of your system, to the point that Marbles' gate output becomes noisy enough to cause spurious triggers? Thanks for your time on this. That sounds like a possible explanation. I’ll look in ...

Unlike the other Volca's, the Volca Sample has some configurable sync options which may be of use here. See the manual, under "Specifying Global Parameter Settings" You should find, Sync in/out polarity. And also Sync as pulse per step, or once every 2 steps (Default) Getting really erratic clock f...

Thought saying all of that, it does still seem weird that the Volca Sample is solid with marbles via Maths? But not direct? And the Volca Sample is sold when using other clock sources direct? Beyond my understanding to try to diagnose what’s up...

That's weird. No idea what attenuating it with Maths could do that fixes it. Have you tried putting through a buffered multiple? I'd like to have a look at the module, though, send a message on the Mutable Instruments site. Don't go through your dealer, most of them are sloooow with returns. Thanks...

My Marbles T2 clock output isn’t steady unless I attenuvert it very slightly in Maths. Is this common or should I return the module? Do you have Jitter all the way counter-clockwise? Christmas dust settled. Digging in to new modules. Confusion/issues.... My veils seems like channels bleed cv in to each other or something? I have audio in and out of channels 1,2. Re: Marbles n00b question

Hi guys, I'm pretty new to Eurorack, but in general, I'm having fun and figuring things out. (For instance, I got Plaits recently and am having a blast with it. Similarly, I have a Voltage Block and it makes perfect sense to me). Just got Marbles and I have no idea what I'm doing on the X side. The...
