you're looking for a groovebox. not only do you need a computer for push, but there's no MIDI interface, so you'd probably have to invest in an audio interface as well. I have a NI KK 6.

this seems odd to me just because of the price/quality difference between the two brands. i think ikea products are great and fit a certain lifestyle, i wonder how that translates to something for DJs who have to abuse their equipment.

i played with one for a couple of hours. i still don't know why people don't like them much, i thought the sounds were incredible and the interface was fairly friendly considering there weren't a lot of knobs.

this is going to sell a lot, which is lame, because the TR-8S is way more useful, but too niche for the people this is marketing to. yes it's more expensive, but the TR-8S is also an endgame drum machine for most people.

i like the model d, but i found the sub 37 more useful. if you really want to upgrade, look at the voyager (after saving up a lot more money than you're probably willing to spend lol)

i've tried a lot of different keyboards. i ended up with a Roland a49K. i don't trust arturia, even though i've owned one, and i really didn't care for other controllers that had a bunch of functionality i'd never use. i have a push to really control the computer, so i'm happy to have a high quality...

i think you'd go for a semi modular setup, ideally where you have a keyboard that can be patched (like the grandmother).

it sounds silly, but this really should be used in conjunction with the beats. the beats had good drums, but you'd never be able to get more than a few songs worth of variation--and if you used motion sequencing, all the drums sounded the same. this is a smart product by korg.

not surprised at all. korg stuff can be super hit or miss when it comes to this stuff. there are a few USB 'cleaners'. Schiit makes one (they're a 'high end' headphone/DAC company from California). your problem could potentially be your motherboard as well. one thing to try would be to use a powered...

whatever you do, consider recapping the old capacitors. it'll take a couple hours and up to 100 bucks, but you can charge two hundred bucks since people don't want to do that themselves. or you could find an electrician and see how much they charge.

asbestos removal is no joke. if it ends up costing like than 10,000 for abatement then you might consider it. where I live 10,000 is for a small 400 sf area.

i bought this to work with a beats, sample, and minilogue. i returned the mix because the line out had way too much noise for the money. the only thing it really offers is power for all the volcas. for a hundred bucks it could be worth it, but 170 is a joke.

i prefer the 606 because I think it has more headroom to edit the sound. that being said, they both need a good bit of work to sound great if you're recording.
