Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

someone here went the individual output breakout box route? would like to hear it and how the bands are isolated… Not used the breakbox, but take care, bands are absolutely not isolated. they strongly interract with each other, which is a big part of the magic. each band interract with at least the...

one usage I strongly love, is to connect a usb light. There is many great ones, and many are good enough to allow to playing in fully dark rooms.

Re: Grand terminal update issues - pls help!

Hi Jeffb01, First thing, that may be sounds easy to write, but keep cool, all will be good soon :) What very likely happened, is that the flash process, was failing, close to the end. the audio bootloader, is never rewritten, still intact, and will allow you to flash over and over until it finish pr...

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

just an idea of something it is really great at : - feed any material into it (gate, rythmical or not, or audio, whatever). - Adjust the bands, and feedback, until you get a total meltdown, there is really ways to keep it under control, and not over clipping. - feed the nice texture of previous step...

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

Nice. Mine will only saturate a bit on the inputs. Now I wish I had more gain on tap... wonder if it's a simple resistor mod? yes, it's a simple resistor, from the build documentation : Resistors RG1 and RG2 set the maximum gain level of each of the two inputs. 100k will make the input knobs pure a...

Re: Random*Source Resonant Equalizer... or?

same here, I was bothered by the lack of cv. Built one, and finaly, I'd say that it's not that of a big problem. Due to how it is played with feedback, it would be hard to control it via cv, if even possible. It is so raw, can go wild so fast, that nothing else can replace ears and fingers. Indeed, ...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

yes, you can remove it after uploading, it works great with phase phase adjustments. what's really missing, is to have folders supported to flash, so we could go back and forth between sets, and here it require one sd per bank set if a computer less setup is needed, which is a not that fun. uploadin...

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Sorry for throwing random things at your face... hope you don't mind :)

Last idea -> the further can function either as 1.2v/octave (buchla) or 1v/octave, eurorack.

How is the jumper set ? (if any).

hope it could be this ;)

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Hi laniakea, that's good news, let's see how you can make it better. First thing, can you double check, that you are really close to tuning by 25cts, and not by something like 1 octave +-25cts ? I can't remember if the trimmer has that much range, so excuse the thing if it does not help. Now, try to...

Re: Upper limit for CV (V/Octave) voltages?

there is actually no hard specifications for this, but there is 2 strong tendencies : the 2 most common 0-10v vco -5v 5v vco Some others are 0v-8v for example or 0-5v Now about usability, many digital modules are limited to 5v for their upper voltages, and 0-10v vco maybe a bit problematic for upper...

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

You mean when turning the trim pot in the notes int the octaves higher will get closer to tune and the reference note will drift out of tune? Because that's what happening to me. I will try to post a video later on, so you can see. sorry if I was unclear :), but you got the point absolutely. random...

Re: Furthrrrr generator strong zero core tracking problem

Hi Laniakea, First thing, about the strong zero core that fallen a bit, no worries about this, it can't kill anything. They are "hot glued" when installed from factory, if you don't plan to switch back from analog to strong zero, I suggest you to do the same, hot glue gun, a bit on the side of the s...

Re: Kermit mk III - coming soon

the proper direction is the one where it said : Invalid Device ID MPE lab, first needs to identify the device, and will flash the pickit with the proper code. Then the pickit can be used to update the device with the firmware. Could you double again change the device, trying to force a reflash of th...

bad luck then :) if it's only replacing a pot on the euro version, I could do it for free, but being based in france, not sure it would be cost effective due to shipping. By the way, thonk (uk based), sell the pot you need. Before ordering, do you have access to a multimeter to measure the resistanc...

@klick Thank you for responding. At this point time I don’t do much recording either. I can sit and turn knobs and patch things together and be totally content with exploration into different sounds. I really enjoy the “west coast” style of synthesis. Sounds can go from tame/normal to far out/wild ...

before you send the module so anyone, may you details a bit more your problem ? The bongo sound, is not only the lpg, but also the harmonic content. vco : Start with a fm patch (the furthrrrr generator being very well suited for this, but any complex oscillator should do the job), and use these 2 variations : FM index being constant to have an idea on how it affect the sound, a...

not sure if it's what you are looking for, but this release contains plenty of roms , many sid/nes ones :

indeed, will need some rework to fit in mk3, but at least, you can import them in waveedit quite easily
